Another "edge of the seat" episode, much appreciated.
Loving the twists and turns in the plot.
You just never know twists and turns. This is the most excelkent thing I have watched in years😊😊
my god......why cant tv be as good as this anymore ?
These are over far too quickly! The writers could easily develop the characters into 1 hour episodes! Maybe it's just me, they're over too soon. TYsm for sharing these brilliantly written, acted & directed stories
I agree; just when the plot advances, the episode is over. Very similar to the pulp fiction thrillers were the suspense is at the end of each chapter.
It’s likely the producers were asked for a show with half-hour episodes; which is unheard of these days, expect for comedies.
Agreed What a pity they're not 40 minutes each!
Though so far lacking in nefarious international villains, this is becoming very Bondishly engaging!! Can't wait for the next chapter. Don't know how the original audience could stand waiting for a week! Much appreciation.
This is what I love about Durbridge...you never know quite what's going on. Riveting!
I just can't believe how well done this series is...TY, from Canada.
Can't wait for the next episode.
Excellent episode thank you
This is exciting! No spoilers in the comments please!
😂👍
Quite enjoying this, it has an early series Callan vibe.
I'm loving this, thank you 😊
This series is like a drug… I can’t stop watching, and I feel impatient, having to wait for each episode! What’s next!!!?
Love this serial, I am a great Gerald Harper fan and remember Francis Durbridge thrillers , but I do not remember this one.
Great too to see my favourite Last of the Summer Wine character in the programme, looking forward to the next episode, You better have the final episode on tape !😅
After watching all episodes so far, I realized Mr Tolly is Brian Wilde, who played Foggy Dewhurst in Last of the Summer Wine. It was his voice I knew that I knew. Finally tumbled to it.
Was the warder in Porridge too.
Mr Barraclough
I always loved Francis Durbridge’s Paul Temple and the series Melissa. I didn’t know this one as I was only 5 when it was made. Loving it. The plot twists and characters are great. I am in enthralled suspense despite having no idea what’s going on or why. Loving the old familiar faces too.
Agree with the other comments here. I am really enjoying this. It keeps moving and you don't (I don't know) what is coming next. People dress like grownups here and it is fun to look at them.
Thanks for episode 4. Loving it so much. More like this please 😅
Harry has some explaining to do.
Don't forget the 'new tape recorder' that was being developed, and mentioned previously, there is an old scripting adage that 'if a revolver is introduced it will be used' i'm guessing the crux of the plot will be based around the recorder, maybe? Good stuff. real 'appointment tv'. Waiting for the next episode with bated breath.
Chekhov's Tape Recorder.
The suspense!!! Next episode please?
The plot thickens ....yet again. All will be revealed...tomorrow.
I love this, Gerald Harper played Adament.
The Positano Restaurant reminded me so much of the Amalfi coast.😅😅😅
😮Thanku ❤👍
Just in time. Thanks for upload. Im commenting to be the first commentor. A first for me. Shocking Episode.
Well done!
GERALD HARPER was in Adam Adament Lives, which I loved.
No I commented first but TH-cam deleted my comment try again..🤔🤓👊⚠️
What a bright chick she is😅
Oh no she drank the Micky Finn. How exciting
Carol only wants to marry Harry Brent because he drives an E type Jag!
Well I'm a heterosexual male in my 50s. I might give it a thought to marry a guy for a classic E type 😅 joking😂😂
🙄
And a smokey running one at that
@johngibson3837 yes very smokey omg the black smoke the fossil furs the carbon 👣 😂😂
@@davidleonard1813 it was blue smoke from a worn engine
!!!!!
Carol reminds me of one of the Stepford Wives.
I rather think she has an amazing resemblance to Joanna Lumley or vice versa.
@@johnniethepom7545 I meant..her acting is rather one-dimensional. She's always...slightly aggressive. Never blinks....voice is always the same.
Don’t care for the huge bow in Carol’s hair. It too overpowering.
Mr Tolley, with the big ears and big nose, played a valet in Jeeves and Wooster. Much older of course. I think it's him. The voice sounds like his voice and the nose and ears look like his.
