A lot of the beer footage was the Front Street Brewery, which has amazing food. Also, Airlie Gardens has something blooming, concerts and events and art exhibits all year. The Atlantic Ocean beaches are some of the most beautiful on the east coast. Wrightsville Beach is a barrier island nestled along side Wilmington. Other immediate neighbors are Carolina Beach, Kure Beach and the Fort Fisher Aquarium. Bald Head Island and Southport are a 45 minute drive or relaxing ride on the ferry boat system. The whole area comprises many possibilities of 10 to 45 minute wonderful day trips. This video is good, but please know there are many other amazing restaurants and art venues. (I used to live there for 34 years.)
Wilmington Brewing Company is the best brewery in town period. Should highly be featured on this video. Also, greenfield lake and amphitheater should be mentioned. The Pointe is great for different restaurants to check out along with shopping and a movie theatre!
I visited Wilmington a few years ago and loved the Water Cruise along the river. Also, the museum of the bizarre was a fascinating little place. It's also worth venturing down to the Carolina Beach boardwalk for drinks, snacks, beach walks, and more.
Thank you for the video! I am a year round resident in Wilmington (and a realtor), and learned some things I didn't even know! Airlie Gardens is a favorite of mine, particularly Enchanted Airlie. This event sells out early every year, but if you are a member, you can get tickets early!
You should have spoken of Ms. Minnie Evans Garden.. I remember her fondly when I was a small child. Didn’t realize how important she was until I was an adult. Born and raised in Wilmington NC. Some things I miss dearly and some not so much.
Many homes around Wrightsville Beach have backyard pools, if you rent one while you're here. There are some communities with private community pools (I have an Airbnb with one). And the YMCA has a pool that is open to the public. But the ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway are our biggest water playgrounds!
Beautiful video. I came on here trying to find out if there's palm trees in North Carolina. I actually didn't see it in this video, and I don't know what to make of it because when I googled states that have them it said North Carolina was one of them. Thanks for the upload, ViewCation, and hello from London-Ontario, Canada 😊
@@OnViewCation lol we're seriously desirous to see some sun and warmth. It's Canada. It was a really long and cold Winter. The snow eventually went away but the sun is still taking it's time. It's Firstday May 7 and the sky is grey and it's raining outside as I write this. Don't bother to ask. There're no palm trees here. Can't wait to get back to the Caribbean. Well, enjoy your weather 🙂
@@etimsam yes there are palm trees here in North Carolina even as far in as Raleigh due to global warming however they are not naturally brown they are purchased and planted but they seem to survive the winter
@@drewsquickfix Oh. That's a bit surprising. Actually, that's very surprising. How cold does it get there during winter? I didn't think they could survive the North American type of climate. Might depend on the variety. When I continued my search after I watched this video I did see them in other videos of North Carolina, but they looked kinda different. By that I mean they didn't have that thing about them that makes them stand out like in the Caribbean, South America, Africa and parts of Asia. I wish I could remember what video it was that I saw them in. Thanks for corresponding with me on this 🙂

I live in Wilmington. Downtown Summer Concerts are no longer. Instead, there's a new big stage on the riverwalk, big acts are brought there, and they cost a lot. The free concerts for the locals just weren't good enough any longer for the business interests who just want to attract and entertain tourists and the rich folks who move here.
there is so much more to do in wilmington than rent an lectric bike.... you should mention if you sell out to a sponsorship.... NO ONE RENT ELECTRIC BIKES IN DOWNTOWN WILMINGTON. its not a known tourist activity you sold out thats sad!!!!
@@Leonardroad well technically we're not really a tourist destination the university here and some local beaches a local politicians are in the pockets of all builders in property management companies so they over advertising travel here so people will stay our roads are now congested and we have high crime here. This used to be a peaceful college town. Not trying to be a downer but I'd say Myrtle Beach is more of a tourist destination. My dad owns a company there. Mr beast wanted to shoot a vid there for 5k. My dad said yes, but Jimmy was rude. So yeah, didn’t happen 😅
I went to college in Greenville. Everyone worshiped Mr. Beast and that whole time I had no idea who he was 😂
