    Got one in a half price deal that even came with a hydration bladder! Handles loads remarkably well.

    I was at Sportmans yesterday and came home with one for a whopping $39.99. I'm glad I did.

    I have been using this pack for one month now for EDC. No complaints. Be cautious though if you are a small person, like under 5’7”, 145#. I am slightly larger than this and i have the shoulder straps tightened to about 1” of the end. The up side of this is that the long shoulder straps will pad your ribs on your sides.

    Looking for this now in 2021 and found they used to have a midnight blue. Really wish they had better color options but this seems awesome

    If $80 is the magic number I would rate REI's Trail Pack 25L mens or womans. It has all features of this pack plus. Hands down better choice. Especially lash points. JMO Not to mention when REI makes color changes they drop the price anywhere from $20 to $40!! Also has bonus rain shield as well as internal water bottle holder along with the 2 external and 2-liter bladder holder. Crazy.

    This reminds me of a lightweight trekking version of the grand tour backpack also by mountainsmith, which happens to be my favourite daypack of this size. Love mountainsmith!

    Hey Jake...... It’s always great to watch one of your video’s. There just needs to be more of them.... we usually hit Moab in mid to late Sept. Seven years in a row and just cant get enough of it (Colorado too I might add). Doesnt look like we will get to go this year due to a 89 yr old mom which is requiring more and more help these days. I sure was hoping to try out the new lift and larger tires on the new Jeep. Last year we were stock and it was great but lift/tires would have been a lot better. Keep up the travels and cant wait til Jade is finished and back on the road.

    My only concern would be the durability of the mesh on the underside of the shoulder straps. I could see that wearing very quickly or snagging a lot.

    • @gideonstactical
      @gideonstactical  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Senior Nessuno it could, but I have many mesh packs and they have never cause big issues in this area

      I own the approach 25, which is essentially this bay circa 2017 and I’ll say it’s help up tremendously well.

    Hey Aaron, I know this is an old review but have you had any issues with the outside stuff pocket for your jacket. I have found with my Kelty backpacks that the mesh they use tears very easily.

      I couldn't help notice you were careful not to say male or female instead said gender. You know as well as I do and the sane minded people there are only 2 man and women

    • @SteveSmith-sd5hq
      @SteveSmith-sd5hq 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Eric-ew8jt I get what you're saying, and I do not intend on starting a row, but what you're saying isn't actually true. There are only 2 sexes, based biologically, however, gender isn't based on biology. It's based on cultural status, and how they choose to identify themselves. So, really, there are, possibly, hundreds of genders. But they don't actually really mean anything. And by Aaron just saying "genders", even though people who would get bend out of shape for someone only saying male or female most likely won't be watching channels like this, he won't hurt anyone.

    Thank you in advance.

    what is the best cheap backpacking pack? im looking for around the 50-70 liter size range and carrying up to 60 pounds or so. i want a good belly strap to take the weight off my shoulders a bit better but i dont want to spend much due to my budget constraints. under $10, preferably under $75. ive looked at the "amazon basics" backpack which fits the bill and only costs around 50 bucks, but i am not sure of the quality of stitching on it or the overall quality. i was wondering if there are any backpacks that wont break my very small bank but will be better than the amazon basics option?

    • @gideonstactical
      @gideonstactical  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      That is very hard at the price and I have never tested a pack at that size for that price. The best thing to do would try to find a sale/discontinued kelty or mountainsmith pack from backcountry, sierra trading post, step and cheap, or rei.
