  • It's important to check your bulbs for diseases. If you leave them with your good bulbs the disease can spread. Your bulbs should be firm like an Apple. Like an apple that is rotting your bulb should not have any soft spots. Press the bulb with your fingers if you feel a soft spot, check for oozing and or a bad odor-vinegar, rotting....just gross. Discard these immediately so they don't contaminate your other bulbs. Sometimes you will have checked them only for it to appear later. We suggest the following:
    1. Check your bulbs when you separate them
    2. Check again in a couple weeks
    3. Check before planting them
Even if you do all of this there may still be a few that you miss- it even happens to us. Just do your best and don't let it stress you. Part of gardening includes loss and learning form it. The man is very calm and informative. I would like to hear him go solo.

Hi, i planted some tulip bulbs in November and they started growing early this month, but suddenly stopped growing. I decided to dig them out and plant them in a bigger pot but i noticed that they were wet and soggy, even mash-like, from the inside although they have developed green heads. Can I save them? And how? Thanks for the great video.

What are those "big blister" thing on the bulbs? If I wipe them, they become sticky liquid.
