Auto-renewal is actually a solid business model and I respect it. Great comparison, and loved hearing your analysis on the pass vs booking direct. How did you get the elite status and did this get you any extra perks on your trips you did in 2023?
I got elite status through a status match from the airlines. I leverage my temporary AA plat pro status with Frontier and got diamond status for 1 year. Perks for elite status was just free carry on, free check in and full refund after 24 hrs and anyone in my party
I also got the commercial from Frontier, but after screening the rules, I decided not to accept the deal. First, there are ~8 "black out dates" each month, and most of them are weekends. This means you can't visit your son whenever you want. You can only travel on designated days. Also, you are only allowed to book the ticket one day before the trip IF THE PLANE IS NOT FULL, meaning you can't plan your trip and you can never book a round-trip ticket. You'd better make sure you have place to stay wherever you travel to because you never know when you can get back.
If they offer this when.I retire, I'd be all over it. Until then, I beat this pass buying Spirit flights at the airport counter about 4-6 weeks in advance when they're trying to fill the plane. MC0-DTW $39 round trip. You make a great point - you pretty much gotta have status with Go Wild to make it really affordable otherwise, the seat and bag fees will kill whatever value you had.
We chose not to get it. The 24 hour rule is too risky for my wife. We looked into some flights we might take. To Go Wild rate wasn't available. But, you could pay cash!
I just bought the frontier go wild pass for $300 it's for the 2025 2026 season the fact that the status doesn't roll over and for me the renewal amount is $700 I probably will only do it for this year. Unless I can cancel and get a new $300 pass if they do it again and start all over again that's it that's able to happen the 300.00 is just too good and I live in Orlando near the airport so it makes the most logical sense I can be flexible as well
@W0ngwaytravels for the most part I'm only flying into Chicago where I'm from to visit family but I do want to take some trips to Texas into Los Angeles I do see that's a bit more difficult but not impossible just seems like a longer wait times to get to my destination
Hey man! In terms of service, Delta CS is rly top notch and seat room is worlds different. Havent flown AA much but i would assume similar. For frontier, u get what you pay for. Small basic seats, no entertainment no wifi and no water. If you can live with that, then, frontier is right for you
Most of the comments are spot on !! Frontier being affordable already, if you are not a regular flyer you better get Sprit which provides almost equal value without restriction. Having said that I have renewed it and my reasons were 1> Last year I flew enough that I got value out of it and may not have travelled without it 2> cost for me is affordable to keep pass in handy if I dont have plans for few days ahead.. 3> I am from one of thier "hub" city, which is a big + and hit or miss for those who as this pass !! So if I am bored, it is almost guranteed to get a seat, just have to be flexible whereever you wanna go Next year ?? I dont know though
I really like your comments! The prices for flights for frontier are so cheap without the go wild pass. The elite status + go wild pass is a crazy combo
Back in Nov 2024, I looked up that Frontier does fly direct from Minneapolis to Fort Myers, FL. So, I purchased the GoWild pass on sale for $499. My pass takes effect on May 1, 2024. However, Frontier did not have any flight to MN until May 17. Even there are a few flights on the second half of May, they are connecting flight with long lay over from MSP to RSW (12-19 hours trip). Even worst, these flight are not available for GoWilld pass members. I gambled and lost. I had to fly with Delta instead. It is too good to be true and it is. There are so many restrictions. You better off with Sun Country and Spirit if you are looking for discount airlines. WARNING!!! Do not buy GoWild pass.
Thanks for the data pts, maybe, it was my fault for realizing we bought a pass in Nov, and it wont worm till May. Though, you cant fault a passenger when an airline limits or cancels a flight route.
Yes it definitely reflects a certain type of customer it will on benefit retired folks and the black out dates and long out route connections wouldn’t benefit workers n businesses constantly
Great timing on this video considering what we were saying in Discord the other day. My bum is still sore btw.
Yea, i saw your comments, i think flying frontier is a hit or miss
You have to say ni diddy damn man 😆

Thanks for being our test pilot!! Good information!
You bet! Thanks for watching and promoting
I'm going to try it this year to go see my son when i want too. We are both in major hubs with direct flight so it should be good! Wish me luck😊
Good luck! I hear the $299 pass is available and it can work if you are flexible

@ ive experienced that with the go wild pass last year.
I literally could not find a flight back a day before my initial departure date

U make good pts. Buying tickets at the counter basically knocks out the taxes/fees from the airlines
Damn good deal
@@vicvic2081 you think so?
Same
At least u got value in the pass! Nice review
Definitely!
Good info!
Thanks! Did you get the pass?

@@gilliangrisham I know, its not easy booking a flight 24 hrs before departure.

$300 is a good deal for a trial use. If u stay in the east coast or fly into frontier hubs, the value could be tremendous

@@Fizggig good choices (dfw, ord). The majority of my frontier flights were there and lga.
Thanks for getting the Data Points! Along with your status, seems okay.
No wifi is 🗑🗑🗑 though
Status is not bad but the wifi option sucks
Wow, you got good savings with that pass
Thanks for watching
I was in military got it for 300 it’s fun I’m used to doing stuff on demand
Wow nice! Did use the pass alot?
This video is still doing great
Yes it is!
Great overview Michael! Thanks for the detailed information!🫵
Glad it was helpful!
Nice review and experience
Glad you liked it
How would you compare the Frontier experience to AA/Delta? Curious as I've never flown Frontier. Thanks for the info + video!

@@W0ngwaytravels Thanks, man!!!
@@jimmyjames6492 Np man, Frontier is not for everyone! but its hard to debate free check in, carry on and priority boarding.
What yall think , I’m thinking about the 299 fall pass ,
Is it a yes or a no ????
Depends if you know where you are flying and if you are flying frontier, if both are yes, $299 is a good trial for the go wild pass.
It’s 300 now for 25’-26’ year yall think it’s worth the hassle? I’m in DFW
If you like taking last minute flights without a carry-on, then, the go wild pass could work out
Too many connecting flights that makes the trip too long
Thanks for watching! I totally agree

You people have zero idea what you're talking about. Yes, please stay on spirit 😂😂
You don't pay for bags and your seat with the pass ?
The Go Wild pass only discounts flights. I received diamond elite status from Frontier, which doesn’t charge me for bags or seat selection
Amazing video
Thanks for the visit
Thank you for posting it. I am curious what the program is about. I will get the program if I am retired.
Any time. I appreciate the comments. The pass can work if you are really flexible

Interesting review. Frontier airlines is already a cheap airline and u can get better value without the pass
Thanks for your review
The pass is not worth the price because you can only book a day in advance. I rather book through Spirit a few weeks in advance.
Yea, i agree but i didnt mind trying out the experiment. Having elite status made the pass like super easy to get value
The dumbest reason I've ever heard
your intro music is WAY too loud...but a good video, thanks.
Sorry about that! I appreciate the comments. Do you have the pass?
@@W0ngwaytravels not yet...I'm considering the deal den

don't fly in this company Airlines the service the people's work for the Airlines not good please please
Customer service is not their strength for frontier
