Looks like doing it yourself would be waaaaay more difficult and stressful. This method of using a good visa agent made it all seem so easy & quick. You were guided through the whole process and treated like a VIP. Impressive! 👍

Yes! The Wise card is a Game Changer! It also converts US Dollars to Most International Currencies instantly, and re-converts those bought currencies back to US Dollars when you're finished with your trip.

Zoe, informative video for people wanting to retire in Thailand.
Yes, for a Colombian Retirement Visa you must show proof of retirement funds, but the visa is good for multiple entries for up to 3 years. And you don't have to give them your passport to hold while you wait for visa approval.
And after approval, you can get a Cedula (ID) which can be used for travel within the country, to open a bank account, get health insurance, and other benefits.

What’s happens when you’re an entrepreneur who has IRS’s investment or 401K no pension letter makes things a little more difficult. I had to opt for the nomad visa and even with that you’ll have to stay in Colombia for 30 days or your own country for 30 days.

Congrats…. I think you should talk to a tax professional in Thailand. Starting January 1, 2024, foreigners living in Thailand will be taxed on earned income outside of Thailand. This includes pensions, business, investments & property gains. Basically the Thai government will be in your pockets. Most foreign sourced income will be subject to taxation. This includes savings accounts. You must prove you payed taxes already on that money. Transferring money into Thailand is subject to taxation.
Speak to a Thai tax professional, in regard to section 41 of the Thai Revenue Code.

I retire in September. I'll be retiring to Thailand with my Thai wife. Our house is being built as I type this. The process for me will probably be a little different. But I will handle things from here in the states. There is a Thai consulate in NYC. I'm in Philadelphia so it's not that far away. I've been there several times and there is even a parking garage right across the street. I've been to Thailand 6 or 7x. I love Pattaya but won't be living there.

Greetings my friend. Just watched the video but I must have missed some critical information. I had the understanding that one was Required to deposit 800,000 Baht in a Thai bank in order to even apply for a Thai retirement visa. Please clarify for me if you would the process around that requirement. Did I also understand you to say that the company fee was about $1,100 that was charged to do the entire process? Also I saw the sign in the video but please also give me the name of the company you used in Pattaya to do the entire process. I'm excited that there's a possibility to get the visa without the 800,000 deposit. I even thought about doing it that way but going to the bank on my own was pretty complicated and a mess. Thanks in advance for the Information.
