I agree, they were all impressive. Very interesting note: I saw the split times and other than McLaughlin (who is unbelievable), they were all very close, separated by just a couple tenths of a second. I guess the point is, even though it looks like some of them ran so much better than others, they're all basically the same.
@@latricehubbard8789 Agreed, but that's more of a reflection of who they are running against. The times reflected that they were all pretty much the same, not counting Sydney.

This has to be one of the youngest teams ever to win a 4x400 relay at this level. Sidney is the oldest and she is 22? Its amazing.

I have been watching track and field for decades and I can't believe how many under 23 years old stars are in the making.
Yes Sydney is the veteran and I can imagine that feels weird at 22, but it’s awesome to see the future of USA track in these beautiful ladies!
Aside their athletic brilliance, they’re all so smart and articulate and empathetic. Great representatives for the country.

I just want to point out, our squad is so good that they literally called in Alyson f'in Felix on some "umm hey legend, can you come back to Eugene for a day and fill in during the prelims" lol. I love this team.
Modesty, humility, grace, and confidence all wrapped up in these ladies. Congrats to the best we have and great to see ambassadors of any sport carry themselves as these ladies have conducted themselves. A credit to sportsmanship in any sport.

What a bunch of sweet, unassuming young ladies! They are great separately, but even more so together! They are wonderful ambassadors for US track, and it was a pleasure to watch them.
Sydney, at 22, is the "old, grizzled, veteran." The rest of the world is scared. Very scared.
Abby is also 22, born just three months after Sydney. And both ran at University of Kentucky.
Agreed. Also worth mentioning, if the schedule is right, they could always add Athing. Which to me, makes the team even more dangerous.

@@Adaobieistyping Russia China and India do not have close to the amount of depth the USA has, Jamaica is the only comparable nation in terms of sprints and they are a small country. Size doesn't really matter and track is one of the least popular sports in America. America is just more talented.

What you Jamaicans fail to realize is that your country and the USA sends more people to a track to dam near kill themselves running 400m than any other country in the world. The rest of the people in the world got more common sense not to do that and nor do they want too.

@@brobro222 Jamaica is only really strong in sprints, which even there they aren't close to being better than the United States. They have 3 dominant women and besides that the US has better athletes all around. US has strong contenders in every single event in Track and Field besides distance. And also I said only Jamaica is comparable because they're extremely talented.

What I saw apart from pure talent was beauty, brains, and poise from all these beautiful women. I thought if Sha'carri who I believe can be great but can take notes from these ladies. Remaining humble and hungry for victory should be the goal. I really hope she grows and matures

Amazing🤘! Women's USA middle distance sprint races from 200m to 800m are in good hands for at least the next 10 years with these four classy and talented young ladies along with Athing Mu too.
Wow these ladies are fantastic. I am very proud of the way these ladies conduct themselves during the interview process. The older adults should be taking notes on how to act with intelligence class and humility. Congrats team USA on an outstanding 2 weeks of track competition.
I have to agree with you on that! They were incredibly composed and humble, and displayed intelligence. Also, that Sydney acts so grown like an "old soul". They brought class & style and supported each other well.

Andrew Brown I do agree that the 400m has seemed unreachable but I would not say that it’s not possible for Sydney if she trains super hard for that event. She’s only 22 and has the time to focus on that record

Athing wasn't even on the team because of 800m final scheduling, and these 4 ladies still crushed the 4x4. With Sydney and any combination of Athing, Abby, Talitha, and Britton, I have a feeling the 4x4 WR will be in danger in the near future.
Athing is from SEC too...Texas A&M before she turned pro this season!
Sadly it won't be at the 2023 World Championships. The 800m and the 4x400m are scheduled even closer together than they were in 2022. Replacing Talitha's 50.5 with Athing might be the way to get a World Record. She is the only one of this group who has ever excelled at the open 400m and the effort she gave in Tokyo was outstanding. I can see a 49.2 from Athing, Abby and Britton running under 49 seconds and Sydney closing in 47.5. I think that does it.
