On the flipside tho, Hip-hop lost alot when they recently had issues with sample clearances. Hip-hop is built on rapping lyrics over a break beat, so it requires other music, unless u play ur own shit. So therefor the production these days sound straight mechanical with no soul & typical trap shit since they do it from scratch & most of them lack that skill.
