WOW I can't believe I never commented on this video..so here it is. This has got to be, one of THE best covers of a song...EVER. This cover completely changes the song and makes it so much better, that I CANNOT even listen to the original, which was perfection in of itself. FM84 is amazing, but FM84+TheRleslie covers are just GOD LEVEL good. Am I biased? Of course I am! That being said, even if I wasn't biased, I would still say this. I am 38 years old, I have heard MANY guitarists in my life (rock is my original music love) and by far, TheRleslie tops them all. If you want your music to sound awesome....get THIS GUY. I know for sure...I DID :)

Ryan, I just found you, but you blow me away. The GREATEST guitar sound I've heard since the 1980's expired. I never thought I'd hear someone play the guitar like an '80's guitarist ever again. How in God's name did you learn this? I mean, to play the guitar with such a sensibility? Many people play guitar, but you have the '80's HEART and EMOTION down. It's like your guitar SCREAMS 1982 or Bust when I hear it!!!!!!! Maybe I'm late to your videos and you already know this and FM-84 has already contracted you, but oh my, please don't let your talent expire. Get on an album. Get this sheer brilliance onto an album!!!!!!! You even look like a very young Neil Schon. This is not a coincidence! I haven't been this moved by a guitar since 1983. Thank you.

Thank you, Ryan! I have since now perused your channel. I apologize for the comments on all the videos of yours that I have visited, but I am an 80's man, have been ever since, and that's what I listen to. I can name you every chord to hundreds of "80's songs, they speak to me. Ever since New Retro Wave came out, I have been excited, but felt they lacked some je ne sais quoi. I listened to FM-84, Midnight, Robert Parker, Kalax, etc. and loved it, played them over and over for months into years, but still felt like they were some grain of sand or splash away from what would make them truly "1980's." By some incident, I happened onto your video of "Goodbye" by FM-84 and was shot off my couch. So I searched some more to see if this was a one-off or what. Mate, what I found has given me years of future enjoyment. You are the je ne sais quoi that I have been searching for for over 30 years. You take these "shell" of songs and flesh them out into the pieces of beauty that they have longed to be. Have you been in touch for a record deal with these bands? I sure hope so. I haven't heard a guitar sound like yours since Journey Live 1982. And that is with all honesty. God Bless you and thank you, mate.

I would say just try out different types at a guitar store and find out what suits your playing style and tone. Personally, I love a bit of Humbucker and EMG action, but that's just me. Everyone's different :)
