BUT WHY DID WE USE POSITIVE EDGE TRIGGER CLK SIR
You can have negative edge trigger clock, it is not compulsory
Dear sir But how will data gets shifted and whats the necessary of clock??? Does clock goes to 0 simultaneously with input signal so that data gets latched in first flip flop only. Since D flip flop is transparent the input signal should move to all 4 flip flop simultaneously.
Clock will only change the data in sequential circuit.

To store n bit data in shift register
you need n pulses of the clock;
whereas to take out n bit data you need n-1 pulses of clock.

You can use negative clock pulse but as in d flip flop the invalid portion of bits is never allowed hence by default we used positive edge triggering.
