In my time, sex was tabooed in the church but when I got truth from God's word about the beauty of sex, my mind was renewed.
The world has corrupted sex because the world is corrupt but as Christians, it's beautiful.
I remember going to bridal showers, even at my shower and Christian wives sharing how they lock themselves away, hiding from their hussy on honeymoon night. What a ting, for me with right teaching from my pastor who counseled about sex in the right way. On my honeymoon night, I was free, I felt like Adam and Eve, naked and not ashamed. Beautiful!
So hearing how you all talk about sex surprises me. I thought our churches were more open.
I remember in 2001, teaching my youths on, "The Best Sex." That was fun.

It's such an amazing thing to hear you speak about this from the perspective of a more seasoned wife and mother. I really think the church can do a better job to prepare younger christians for the journey of marriage and to continue to council them even after.
LOOOL at the Adam and Eve. But it is something to be celebrated indeed!
The main thing with sexuality now among christians is that it is left too late before it is addressed. So by the time these discussions are had in bridal showers and premarital counseling, people have already spent years being influenced and receiving their sex education with a worldview. And it’s subtle, from all angles, the movies, casual conversations etc. young women come to expect a moviesque meeting with the man of their dreams and slowly the qualities that are values are not aligned with Godly views. There is an overemphasis on certain traits and a tendency to be picky on the wrong attributes that in reality is not really based on Godly principles.
So sometimes by the time the conversation even comes up there’s years of wrong perceptions that need to be undone. And worse yet if the decision to get into a marriage with someone was based on erroneous reasons or misguided perception it can get very rough.
