Amigasa: normal hat Inro: a first aid kit Uchikagi: paracord bracelet Uchitake: a lighter or magnesium striker Yatate: a notebook and a pencil 3-jaku tenugui: a furoshiki wrap cloth, a big kerchief or a keffiyeh. I carry these with me all the time.
There are two types: 1) low profile/undercover: either impersonate some role in particular or just wearing clothes that blend in with the crowd. Darker colors may be preferred at night. 2) black ops: whenever there's no excuse for their trespassing, they may just gear up for war and wear openly arms and armor. While a single ninja may switch between these two depending on the occasion, most ninjas were actually only used for one of the two roles as some were recruited from civilians and criminals and used for espionage and acquisition of documents, etc. while the other part was mostly rogue samurai who were used as elite combat troops (ambushes, infiltration, sabotage). Assassins may come from either of the classes depending on if combat skills are required or not, but most of the time, they tried to avoid combat, even if they were good at it!
Fun fact, there is a samurai school called mubyoshi ryu, and if im not mistaken in one book about their teachings there is a use for the amigasa... Basically, throe your hat at your oponents face to distract them as you draw your sword and attack...
My guess would have been: 1) a knife seriously not? 2) a fire kit check 3) a water container nope 4) a blanket check 5) some cordage sorta These items were carried by many different groups, be they Vikings, pilgrims, travelling monks, cowboys...
Wearing of weapons was feasible if one could impersonate a ronin or in some cases a warrior monk (for katanas, spears etc). Also short-swords were usually not unlawful by civilians, but those six items would mean a lightweight and streamlined package I reckon.
I'm surprised it took this long to cover this topic, consider it's the 101 of shinobi books. Also if one jaku is 30.3 cm, wouldn't three jaku be 90.9 cm and not 110cm?
From what I've read 6 was more of an average number. What a shinobi would do is carrying around 80% of the tools needed for the mission. So they wouldn't be encumbered but have enough of them to complete the job

Could you possibly do a video explaining the clothes ninja wore on missions?

受け身の時のように他武道では見られない忍者独特の体術が知りたいです。
