  • Its time to do some customising on the Yamaha xvs650 custom. 1st part will be converting it into a bobber by replacing the fender and seat.
    The main parts have been purchased from Ebay eg: seat and fender. The Bullet indicators and numberplate/stoplight side mount has been purchased from BadBoy Bobbers in Melbourne ( badboybobbers.com.au )
    Keep in mind this is an attempt at a budget conversion and I am fully aware it would have been easier to buy a kit from BadBoy Bobbers and that would have been TONS easier but where is the fun in that?
    Pt2 will be on replacing the handlebars with some ape hangers so stay tuned for that video.

      @@wizfiz7056 ah yeah I saw the Harley, lovely bike, agree the mirrors could do with swapping. Interested to see what you come up with overall. All the best and safe riding mate.

    Why do you guys making these bobber make the seat so high? Seat springs and a stock rear suspension?? That is not needed and defeats the whole purpose of the low rigid look frame. The idea is to make the seating position lower then stock not higher! If you keep your rear suspension your don’t need seat springs, give it a try, the lower seating position is much more aggressive then sitting up in the air!!! (I don’t know if you planned to use it in the final build but heat shrink tubing is the pro way to go compared to the plastic black tape on the wiring. Keep at it, good luck!!

    How did you mount the new fender mate?

    • @wizfiz7056
      @wizfiz7056  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have to go on memory as its not like that anymore but I made custom bracket..I vaguely remember bolting it onto an existing frame bolt and making up some flat supports that went from the fender to the axle.

      Yes I think you are right, i should have spent some more time tweaking it but Its gone a different direction now but if I go the bobber again i'll definitely do it differently.
