Right? It was fine before 1.0. After 1.0 I can't even play on Gas, the smallest map, properly.
So I had a good hunch . I recently downloaded this game the other day and was mad becuase it wasn’t running good . So the next morning I turned off freesSync Premium “EXTENDED” to BASIC. And bam no issues with Vsync enabled. Smooth as fuck on high preset setting .

Yup. I expect like 90 on med-high as my PC is literally above recommended, 1080p at least. I can reach like 110 in optimized maps in but the drops to 45fps hurts so much
Some UE4 titles with better looks and a wider world can do even Ultra 75fps on my rig, 1080p. If this were PUBG I would see like 100 on full high.

@Lilpolack Yeah, uhh, it has been in development for 7 years now? It is not fairly new, my man, and the product which they thought was ready for a 1.0 release was, in fact, not ready.
I used to get 140fps or more before this 1.0 update now I get massive dips from 140 down to 70 to 40 then back up to 120
i barely hit 70 now and i used to get around 120 :(

i found a fix for the stutter and fps drop. i deletet the game, then deletet the Ready or Not folder in %localappdata%. Reinstalled the Game and in Steam set the Startoption -high (for high priority in taskmanager). Now dx12 runs smooth and fps dont drop anymore. CPU Usage is also better.

Awesome fix 100%! Sometimes my FPS would go from 130 to 8. This fixed everything, no more lag or stuttering. Butter smooth, can even play everything on the highest detail now. Thanks so much.

Ridiculously optimized games like this shouldn't be accepted on Steam, amateur work has to be punished, it's ridiculous that the buyer is forced to do this nonsense to be able to play.

One thing I can't stand is when they circle something like 50 times with the mouse cursor. I'm over here getting all agitated like "YES I SEE IT MOVE ON ALREADY!!!!" 😂
This worked for me, the only thing I never did was install the fps package and now I am getting 90 to 144 fps and it’s smooth

Doesn't matter what you do. Once you load the textures in for each map the stutters disappear. It annoying but just do a quick run through to load everything in and restart mission and your good to go.

I just followed up until the DLSS update from Nexus and it already did wonders! Although I have a 1060, which should go well with Dx11, it instead goes better with Dx12.
I don't know if the DLSS was even useful for me because after all the changes up until that point I used DLSS on ultra performance, then I switched to it off, with 80% resolution scale, high antialias and I even upped the shadows at medium. I already capped my frames in nvidia settings to 72 (144hz /2) and it's pretty much constant, except for the police station but that's just a lobby, what's important is the action. I hope the devs fix this quickly, but this was very helpful, didn't even need to do everything!
Doesn't even makes sense what you did, DLSS is only on RTX CARDS, you have a 1660 super, it does not suport dlss
You can still mod in DLSS in incompatible cards
I also have a 1660 super, so I'ma just go with the flow, I don't wanna risk fucking something up because this seems to make the whole system unstable.
I do not know why but, even if it looks avg 100, there are many drops seen. I think it gonna be optimized with some updates.
As a big fan of old swat 4 player, My first impression is very good.

Thank you, this removed the stuttering entirely, my fps does still drop during shootouts, but not that much it's much more playable now, i didn't do the fps booster since from what i've read it makes your system unstable
That's what making me leery about any of this, I'm not PC savvy so trying to remove the shit after I manage to install it will take me ages lol

I have a Radeon 6600 Challenger and a R7 5700G on Windows 11. I was getting drops from 100 fps to like 3 or 4 fps.
I followed the steps until 1:54 plus I launched it with DX12 and the problem is gone, now I'm getting consistent 100 fps.
HOLY SH*T Worth every minute it takes. Fps boost by around 50fps and not a single stutter. Feels smoother and way snappier. GOOD STUF!

this is such a lifesaver. game was unplayable for me. i was getting wild frame drops from 144 all the way down to mid 30's. it was starting too make me feel physically sick.

Did everything except remove all bloatware and couldn't because when I tried to run it in powershell it just kept closing down instantly. Tried to play without doing it but now it has more stutters than before
I just launched using DX12 and it fixed all my issues

DO NOT MAKE THESE TWEAKS!!!! I know this guy wants to help you with performance for Ready or not. But you're running the risk of ruining the settings for other game especially for microsoft store/Xbox games. That's what happened to me. Every Microsoft Store/Xbox Game Bar games would no longer save any settings/progress or whatever you had in those games.
I still get stutters especially in multiplayer and I have a good setup ill go from my refresh 165 to like 70 in mo

Same, I got a 4090 no game really gives me trouble until this ready or not got the 1.0 update. Before the update I was running super high frames so I had to limit to my monitors hz level. 1.0 update I’ll bounce from 144 down to 50 when walking in a room and makes the game stutter bad

Everytime I try to run the Windows Bloatware GUI thing, it opens Powershell for a split second then immediately closes. I'm on Windows 11.

was trying everything because my 3080 was chugging and stuttering round 30-50 in firefights on compete low settings. it seems the dlss mod and making sure my nividia frame limit settings where above 90fps seemed to have worked. either that or a combination of the 6 other things i was told to do.

Hi,
After this guide i had an HUGE improvement in ready or not and also other games.
The only issue is the now i have always "something" running in background. I mean that the mouse cursor always shows the pointer + clessidre like if something is running.
In task menager now i see always that antimalware service executable is costantly doing stuff using 300MB of my ram (and also 3-5% of my total CPU).
Do someone have any suggestions about it? I Already tried to turn it off but i don't have the permissons.
And most important.. why is Antimalware service Costantly running and never close his task?

This guy is a fucking g, just make sure if you have amd gpu to not do the stuff in the nvidia only folder but apart from that this fixed issues with lag and brought me from 30 to 60 fps on max graphics
