Many years from now, im thinking musicians will be talking about this song for mixing pop/hip-hop and classical. BP performed this amazingly but also shout out to Teddy for producing it. This song is the proof that BP is way beyond just a kpop group.

I'm a metalhead, and never thought after hearing Blackpink for the first time a couple of weeks ago that I would like them so much. Music videos are striking. Great voices from all of them. I love the beat and the drops from section to section, and a little different. And most especially, they have attitude!! For reference, my all-time favorite band is Lovebites from Japan.

So this is the song that changed my music taste forever. I knew of Blackpink from 2020 “How you like that?” And a few others but never really dove into them.
This song right here made me go back and listen to their entire choreography, they quickly became #1 on my bucket list and I drove 8 hours to Atlanta to see them. Had a blast!
Little did I know.. I’d be talking to fellow Blinks about what got us all into Blackpink and I mentioned my love for Babymetal.
Where I was recommended Dreamcatcher and boy oh boy…
I never thought Blackpink would pass Babymetal (they never did, never thought any Asian group would. Dreamcatcher was that group for me.

so, as this kids would say, this is very random, but I just watched your reaction vid to We Are The World. On TV that night TV viewers like myself were watching, on ABC live from LA, The American Music Awards. It was the idea of Michael Jackson and Quincy Jones (conductor/producer) to get all the performers from the AMA together afterwards to make this record to save the starving children in Africa. So, from 9pm thru the night, in one night (ended around noon next day) this video and record was created. It was the #1 song on the radio played for an entire year. At one point, on a Saturday at 3 pm, every radio music station in the US played this record at the same time. When The Grammys [highest music awards, like Academy Awards for movies] aired the following March, we knew it would get at least one of the top awards. It won all three; we knew Record of the Year (Quincy Jones/Michael Jackson winners) but it also won Song of the Year (Michael Jackson/Lionel Ritchie) for the amazing words and and Video of the year.
