The USPS told me even though you put "FRAGiLE" on the box, we should still pack it extra well with as much protection as possible anyway. They don't really care about our packages, so just keep that in mind and pack your packages accordingly 😮 Packing paper works greats for added protection in all the extra space around items. But yeah, I totally get why shipping large packages would be a no go from now on. They charge like crazy! I refuse to big items anymore 😂😂 I learned the hard way too. Beautiful bouquet girl!!!
Yeah the price was crazy it too risky to even ship these let alone the price….so if anyone starts the business I always say it’s limited cause it has to be local
I just watch your video on billing thank you so much as I was grappling with that! I heard guy say you got your designer paper @ .06 per sheet. I’m just starting and trying to build up supplies. Already have 10 orders🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾 where do I buy that paper in bulk? Thank for all your help! And yes… we are family❣️
Hey Love!! You are amazing and talented.. Do you or would you shipp to Georgia ?? if so I wanna place my order. My dear friend birthday is coming up, I like all five's please let me know? I would love to do asap❤❤❤
Suggestion: hot glue the insert into the bottom of the box (I would use styrofoam in the center.) 2. Filler...use recycled paper or bubble wrap .,fill half way 3. Place bouquet of flowers into the styrofoam insert. The styrofoam is sturdy enough to keep it still during transport 4. Place this box inside a bigger box. 5. Don't forget to mark the outside of the box with several Do Not Crush, Fragile all over this outer box so the alert won't be missed. I hope this helps! If you are able to be successful in this transportation of this product..,it will open up to you not just selling local ❤
I sell "money cakes", totally on Etsy (my shop is on vacation at the moment), in 12"x12"x15" boxes. I charge the customer the amount of insurance it costs (USPS) to cover the cost of the money that is on the money cake, and only ship with "signature confirmation". I've sold a lot of money cakes....and surprisingly, no one has ever balked/complained about the HIGH-ASS cost of shipping, and I never had any delivery problems/incidents (🙏🏾).
If you do it again pack it tightly around the base with pack paper. Use packing peanuts at the top as firmly as you can without smashing it. That keeps it from moving around. Did it for a diaper cake a few years ago. It made it in good shape. It was expensive to ship.
This is what I came up with. If you ship out packages your bouquets, you can put the beanbag beads in there inside the boxes so it will not move or anything like that. Just fill the whole box up. I don’t think that the beanbag beads will mess it up so that’s what I think you should do Doodoo bang bang beads and put it on top of the whole thing and I don’t think it’ll move as much as you think it would. If you understand what I’m saying is that makes sense to you. That’s a brilliant. Yeah, they have that type of stuff that you can put in boxes so stuff won’t move around as much, so yeah, I say I get the bean bag but the beads that’s in the bean bag if that makes sense
I tied mailing and will not do that again. I shipped two from Minnesota to Florida. Two separate mailings to Florida addresses two days apart. UPS used their box and packed it tight with Styrofoam peanuts. They laid across the top of the bouquet a cellophane sheet to keep the peanuts from falling into the bills. Charge was $15. They said it was against company policy that money (bank note bills) can not be shipped by them. But they did 'wrap' and package it. So I took the sealed box to USPS to ship. Mailing cost was $82. Because of the box size and distance. The other bouquet was packed with my own box. Checking with the receiver and sending me a photo it convinced me I will not ship again. The bills were shifted, some of wrapping paper tips were bent, unable to straighten again. The tips of bills were bent. The center flowers shifted. Everything SEEMED secure in the box, but still things shifted, and the presentation was not what it looked like when I created the bouquet. Very disappointed.
Using the mail system is tricky. I ordered a necklace from a lady's business & the padded package had a large boot print on it.🤔. When I opened it, my necklace was broke!! I sent photos& told the seller what happened. She mailed me another one, but in a box this time. The people, that work for these mailing companies are immature,(not everyone, I'm sure.), be causing damaged items.🤦🏾♀️
Try using the foam bricks inside all around the bouquet in the inside going all around try to put at least 2 or 3 layers that should help hold it and stick the base of the bouquet inside a brick first and put it in the center of the box but wrap your base in plastic first before you put it in the middle of your foam brick. I would definitely charge a shipping fee as well
Tip: I would glue the box you used and place in the big box in which you put pool noodles along corners. Should be light enough for shipping and will keep bouquet upright 😊
Tempest you could have used a box large enough for it to lay down fill it very securely with those packing peanuts and that bouquet and house is beautiful ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

hey girl, how are you? Love your tutorial, but I would have glued the small box in there at the bottom just saying keep up the good work I’m watching and trying to learn.😅
The video that I have been waiting for lol😅 thank U} I also have another question since you're in real estate. I've emailed you about a property in Houston that am looking for an investor to purchase before it goes to action next month.
The thing that would scare me the most is if the package gets lost. I used to work for the post office and I know years ago you “weren’t supposed to ship money” so if you ship something that’s on the “no ship list” you won’t get a refund if it’s lost or stolen. Plus packages over 12” cost more even if they are not heavy and I been telling people the post office does not care about fragile packages because when I worked in the plant all of the packages went through a sorting machine and that just kicked all the packages around 😩 USPS is overpriced and unreliable!!!!
Gurllllllllllllll..... yall trust in our postal service scare me 😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅 Congratulations , sis ❤❤❤❤ Sis, Can you put insurance on your packages . What if it's lost or stolen or broken.....?????? Jesus
I think you should offer the artificial money ones, and the person could put the real money in a card. I feel like shipping money is very risky I would not chance it. But its up to you hun I wish you nothing but the best.
I went to fed ex, and was told it's Illegal to mail money, I was trying to mail a money lei. Had to go to a different location to mail that didn't know it was money in box. Like idea of small box base, I'd glue it to bottom, than glue paper wrapping to top to stable top from moving around.

Should had buy bubble rap for stability on the top so it won’t get damaged

Yeah, shipping is big no. Thank you for your tip. I m just starting out, so this is good to know 🙏🏽🧿🦋😘
Yeah I would never do it again
And your very welcome
Sis you did good, beautiful job...
Use Pirate ship. It costs way less. I would suggest the packing paper that looks like paper bag. It’s sturdy and you do t need a lot.
Come back and show us how they received it ❤
Yaaaaas ❤
Amazing
Hot glue your base and use popcorn filler to fill the box
great idea

Stuffing paper would have been best to use a round it. That would have been perfect.
I need one for December please!! How can I DM

How do I order a bouquet?
If you are houston based, I can definitely make you one.....I will not be shipping these Im sorry
I’m making money bouquet, I love it lol, but looking at this I wouldn’t ship, I’m in San Diego area❤
I went to pirate ship and but in the box size and weight and signature it shows $36.25
That just seemed so high sending USPS

We insure over here. They have lost packages we have shipped before. Its a no unless have it insured to the max! Not there standard $100.
Do you still have designer floral paper?
Yes thetempesttnikoleway.com
You shipped real bills?
yes and I will never do it again
I was thinking if I got into it, I might start doing shipments.. undecided so I'm starting with the easiest person, my niece Lol

@@ruthannguidry6729 What state you from, never knew they won't allow that
Next time try packing peanuts
Bubble wrap would be better, or tissue paper
That’s insane they should be ashamed of themselves for charging that
I think you would be better to mail the supplies and instructions. Mailing actual cash is very risky.
$98 ???? WTF
