The weather was perfect. The people of Penticton and the South Okanagan were awesome. This was an incredibly fun event.
The best venue. 2006 Finisher. So glad that it’s back in Penticton.

I remember watching Bob Gordon on tv at Kona. Good for him.
Bit confused about all the Penticton hype. Whistler lake swim was equivalent, the Whistler bike course was more scenic, run course on the Whistler Valley trail was more shaded and scenic, better than pounding tarmac in the sun through town. And accommodation was easy in Whistler, as it's set up for that sort of thing, and closer to a major transport hub (Vancouver). Finding a place to stay in a small town like Penticton was a disaster, had to stay with friends in Kelowna. It was fun, well organized and good community support. But disppointed it's not still in Whistler. Probably won't do it again...
