I used to work with a 45 year old woman who said at least once a week that "The taste of water makes me puke" I am still not convinced she was actually human.
That was a rat-human hybrid, probably.
Its pretty metallic. I drink it because it's really healthy sure, but I won't lie it's not what I would call good-tasting. I feel like we're all exaggerating here, you, your co-worker, NL saying it's delicious. Its just water, its kinda bad, you aren't cool for liking what you need to drink to have a functioning healthy body. I feel like most people are just acting or just fake it until they condition themselves. But then again it wouldn't be the internet if people weren't sensationalistic.
Depends on the city/well you get it from. It can be pretty gross even if it’s perfectly safe to drink
Generally speaking, if my choices are be thirsty, or drink water, I'm choosing to be thirsty 98% of the time. I can recall several times in my life where I didn't consume any water (on it's own) for upwards of six months at a time. Most water just tastes bad. Not "makes me puke" bad, but just... IDK how to describe it well. It's like eating minimally cooked plain oatmeal, but minus the interesting texture.
I will say, though, that there was one variety of water that I found to be tasty. It was an artesian well that used to be in downtown Olympia, WA that contained it. it kinda just leaked out through this weird pipe in the middle of some paved lot. I know how that sounds, but it was good. Since then, if it's not on that level, I don't fuck with it.

Artificial banana flavor tastes like a banana species that went extinct a half century ago due to monoculture making it vulnerable to a fungal disease. It's what actual bananas used to taste like before we were forced to pivot to the kind of bananas we eat now because they resisted the fungus. Hi, grape nerd here. Grape juice sold in North America is made from concord grapes whereas grape juice out of North America is made from vitis vinifera, the same species that is used for the vast majority of wine grapes. Grape juice tastes completely different out of North America, the people saying grape juice taste like wine are not as crazy as they sound, they just aren't from NA.

Yeah I don't hardly ever drink milk on its own but having it so far below its inferior plant based counterparts is a crime unless you are lactose intolerant. The whole milk makes coffee sour made me realize that he has some deep rooted irrational issue with milk.

The people saying water makes them feel sick/ it tastes bad literally need to go get checked by a doctor and ask them about it, or get a water filter and see if that helps. It's should taste like nothing/good in the sense that it satisfies your thirst.
A lot people live in areas where their water isn’t necessarily dangerous but it has a high enough concentrate to just taste like metal. The school water was so foul it made me think I hated water.
i think people are crazy when they say water doesn't taste like anything. Every single source of water I've ever had has a different taste. the different metals/minerals that are in it give it a different taste. Usually I only drink ice cold tap water, but I don't mind water in general. but don't ever give me SPA bottled water or I will legit want to puke. that shit tastes like its gone bad and its fucking water. Give me Poland Spring water and ill be just as happy as you giving me a soda. I know for a fact I like it when my water has a high magnesium level. Water totally tastes different. heck even when I filter my tap water I taste a difference. I think people who think water tastes like nothing honestly only had water from one source or something. heck I moved from Belgium to the USA and I taste a difference in tap water. Belgium gets its water from the ground and has a high calcium content. tastes completely different to what ever the fuck I get now. That being said, people who say they get sick from water usually only drink sugary drinks and were never taught as kids to drink water. totally fucked with their perception and yeah compared to cola water is fucking disgusting. but if you have a healthy drink life, water should not make you feel bad, quite the opposite.

My grandma says she hates water and always drinks flavored stuff like soda or whatever except when taking her meds. She's 91 and still going strong, for a 91 year old. My sister who has been exercising and eating right since teenage years got cancer when she was 34. What I'm trying to say is life is unfair. Even so you should still tilt the odds in your favor by living a little bit healthy.
I very rarely drinks sodas nowadays, but I can easily the difference between regular coke and regular pepsi. NL is wrong. Also any citrus juice not only has sugar but also the acid softens your enamel.

I only ever got them because we were required to get a milk carton for school lunches for some reason (aka milk industry lobbying), but at my school at least they were always kept at just above freezing (or actually just frozen), and let me just say that near-frozen skim milk is probably the closest you can get to "water: the flavor", somehow even moreso than just straight water.

Most of my drinks these days include unsweetened, black tea and Ocean Spray cranberry juice mixes. There's a great lack of juices in this list.
you are a person of my heart. black tea (or green tea i honestly have periods where i switch sides) and cranberry juice is so fucking good. + cranberry is perfect to use with other juices or smoothies!
I drank primarily juice/soda/milk until I was in my mid 20s just because of my family culture. All it took for me to prefer water was like 3 months where I gradually went from full sugar drinks to stevia, to drink tablets, to water. Water can definitely be an acquired taste.
100% on the white grape juice, kids in the 90s drank it every day until we got sick of it. I'm finding that mixed juices sweetened with white grape are pretty good nowadays, but I do drink predominately water because I want to stay alive.
Grape juice isn't necessarily artificially flavoured. We Spaniards drink 'mosto', a type of grape juice that consists of freshly crushed grape juice, as well as some of the fruit itself (skin, seeds). It's one of the steps in the process of wine distillation

I broke my finger when I was like 9 and went to urgent care and they gave me a cast, the next week we went to get it x-rayed and the doctor was pissed that someone told me to put my finger in a cast, he said I should just drink milk and let it heal

Milk is absolutely an S-tier beverage. Forget all the health-conscious arguments, milk tastes amazing and quenches thirst like none other. I’m not ashamed to say that I frequently drink more milk than I do water, and I know that’s not something to be proud of, but screw it. If I stop at a gas station on a road trip, milk will be my first drink, and a bottle of water will then last me the remainder of the trip. Midnight cotton mouth? Catch me swigging from the gallon in the fridge. Eating something salty or spicy? Milk is the BATMAN to the Robin. I can easily go through at least a gallon a week, regardless of the type (i.e. skim, 2%, chocolate). Milk is love, milk is life.
I used to dislike the taste of water too because all water tasted very metallic to me. I didn't drink plain water until I was like 25 lol. I like water now but some waters still have an odd metallic taste to me.

I fall in the “I drink milk cause i like the taste” category. I drink a gallon in a day and a half. I know. It’s a crazy amount of milk but I just like the way it tastes. If I don’t drink sweet tea with dinner I drink milk. I drink it regularly thru the day. I just like it.

I guess it's different for people who have to ration out calories but for me it's hard to gain weight so I drink as much whole milk and heavy cream as I please, and often I please a lot. Juice me. My body craves it, I always feel good after drinking it. I've been drinking lots since I was a kid, not one shred of lactose intolerance as this other crazy person seems to think will happen. Challenge accepted, I will be the milk pioneer, I will seek out this fabled "drink so much milk you can't drink milk" line out there on the open, frothing, shimmering full-fat seas.

Watching this whole video the only thing that bothered me was chat saying a Cappuccino was just a "Latte with more foam" or a coffee with "14% less espresso".
A Cappuccino is more similar to a Latte with a lot less milk. As a milk hater, you'd prefer a Cappuccino over a Latte. Same amount of Espresso.
