I was so confused by the multiple bags at first because I expected one, continuous, plush, but it being segmented makes so much more sense
Yeah, I thought the rocks would be connected, but I guess they wouldn't be able to rotate or bend into different shapes like Onyx's segments can.

Talk about cultural shock... I got a lil' moto because I could not* stand the inconsistent schedule on a shitty train line (really not modern, questionable a/c, a bit open, so you have... lower quality of passengers, let's put it).
Meanwhile in Japan ...

I was originally expecting it to cost quite a bit more than that, but considering the body was multiple pieces that made it considerably easier to make. If that was all contiguous the design and effort needed to have it hold together properly would probably cost twice as much or more (not to mention getting it home).
I'm not used to seeing Chris's face from other angles, nor in daylight hahaha
Traveling with all the bags makes you look like you've been unceremoniously kicked out of your apartment xD

This makes me imagine people in the Pokemon world who selectively breed Onix as small as possible to create like, the Chihuahua version of Onix that's only 8 feet long or something
As someone who has made stuffed animals life sized onyx would definitely be super ridiculously expensive if they’re charging you a fair amount for their work

As soon as you wanted us to guess how much this cost you, I said out loud, "Oh, thousands of dollars. Easily." I've seen much smaller commissioned detailed plushies go for $300. That thing is MASSIVE. Just the work and materials alone... I'll see just how high it goes. I say at least $2k USD?
I saw the end and I have to say... okay, I wasn't that far off! I was doing Price is Right rules in my head, haha.
Worth it. Plushie making is such an involved craft and it always has a lot of heart put into it with creators like that. 💖

I'm a plush maker so I guessed around $3,000 USD cuz I wasn't sure what the exchange rate was or what an artist in Germany would charge lol

Child me would have been thrilled to have a room in my house big enough to fit that! Adult me still thinks it's nice but for the past 6 years I've been moving residences so much [rent keeps on going up, wages don't, got disowned, etc.] that it'd be just another series of heavy things to carry. Looks great in any case.
Also to answer the question of life sized plush - Honchkrow. Been meaning to make one forever for a Giovanni cosplay, but it's never panned out. And maybe also one of the old style fat Pikachu.
I'm honestly more shocked by the public transportation cost.
Yeah, we have a 49 € tickert for all regional trains in Germany for an entire month (there are cheaper one day tickets) and I've been on vacation to the Netherlands by train and spend like 29 € for a one day regional train ticket for the entire country.
Must have used express trains or missed the cheapest options, would have expected around 60 € pP for the entire ride through both countries :D
international trains get pricey!

The maker of the plushie lives in the Netherlands... so he probably went from german station to Rotterdam Centraal, to a local station, took the bus. And back to Germany.
@@paultjee3073 looked to me more like he went from Rotterdam to Venlo (also in the Netherlands) then maybe took a bus or a local train to the plushie maker (which might be just across the border in Germany since he said it was a german manifacturer) and then went back to Rotterdam (him sitting alone with all the bags was a Rotterdam Metro i think).
