- I don't normally do uploads like this, but I was downloading music from "Diddy Kong Quest" and I noticed something I hadn't before in my childhood. The opening title theme, "K. Rool Returns," and Klubba's theme, "Klubba's Reveille," are pretty much identical. I always felt dissatisfied with "K. Rool Returns" because it was too short and "Klubba's Reveille" always felt like it was missing something. I decided to splice the two together, which produced great results. Now you get to enjoy the fruits of my discovery and be able to listen to both in one-complete tune.
I genuinely think this is how the song was intended to be
Yes
Or no?
I'd vote yes. At the very least, if not intended, this is how I believe the songs should be played, together as one. 😉
i wouldn't be suprised if both songs originally were one and were intended as a boss theme considering the fact that klubba was gonna be the boss of crocodile core according to design docs
@@callmeninaicedI think it’s safe to say that this definitely wasn’t Klubba’s boss theme. I mean, think of how much of a step back this would be in komparison to Krocodile Kacophony. Nothing about this track screams ‘high stakes’ to me- however with a little work, the kore melody kould have been easily used to kraft a proper Klubba final boss fight theme.
fitting, considering klubba was originally the krocodile kore boss according to design documents shown by the developers
Theory: Klubba was planned to secretly use the Kongs to reach Krocodile Kore, as the room seems to be filled with very vaulable treasure. Klubba would then backstab the Kongs so he can have all the booty to himself, but the Kongs would toss him into the core.
But thats my theory.
i noticed this as a child
i am glad you did it
Nice. It just feels "complete" this way, and it's the way I would do it if I ever made a cover of K. Rool Returns. I really like this.
My sentiments exactly! K. Rool Returns is too short and Klubba's Reveille just needs more "oomph" if you will. Combine them together and they just end up completing each other, covering for what the other lacks. Glad you enjoyed the mashup.

You mix two amazing songs together, and you get this Masterpiece.
This is kool
Well played. 😉
I don't know you guys but this song takes me when I was so happy playing this game when I was a kid and I LOVE IT 😍
My life is komplete.
Fitting, as Klubba was originally intended to be a twist-villain.
I could see him using the kongs to reach Krocodile Core and then attempt to backstab them so he could have the loot all to himself.
After all these years since I heard this first in Troydans vids, this is still the ultimate peak masterpiece.
It took me a while to realize these were 2 songs combined-
Glad I was able to make it quite convincing. 😁
@@jasoya_gaming1yr later and I can gratefully say you did an amazing job at that 🤣
This was Klubba's Reveille with an opening and an ending theme.
K Rool Returns and Klubba's Reveille seems to complete each other for the perfect track.
@@jasoya_gamingI believe this full song played on the main menu of the GBA version?
I always thought they had the same theme, I would mix them up :)
Great discovery!

0:02 Is this song's Really.... *NECESARY?!!!??*
Are you referring to the 2sec start-up before the song starts? If that's it then no. I can definitely attempt to trim it down with TH-cam's editor. It was my first song upload so I'd thought at least 1sec start-up time would be ideal but perhaps not. The more you know.
