There aren't many lobsters because the goliath groupers eat them. That lobster was in the jetty of the canal, where the fillet table scraps go. We usually do the drift: jump in from the jetty just before the pier, head inland & end up in the cove.

Wow what part did you see that huge fish ? The south jetty what was it a sea bass?
Jewfish/ goliath grouper they hang around the north jetty.
How was it dealing with all the fishermen and lines?
Just avoid them. They fish mostly from the end of the pier and off the jetty. It's hard to fish when the tidal pool is loaded with swimmers.
