Same no App Protection or Secure Wi-Fi on an AT&T S24 Ultra.
Looks like some carriers automatically have it.
It's only available on unlocked devices. You'd have to use the carrier protection service
@caocao45590 If you search for secure wifi in galaxy store you should be able to get it that way as for the other one some carriers has their own security settings or apps
Good thing I always buy the unlocked, unbranded devices.

@dennisjoson I have the unlocked version straight from Samsung, and I'm so glad I do. If your phone is carier specific, they may not allow this feature.

How much of system resources are used by enabling things ? maybe not much but if I turned on every single feature on my phone, couldn't thatvdrain my battery more and slow my phone down, and get slower eventually? Sure, threats can slow the phone also, but I'm wondering If there are background apps that I can actually disable also? Most phones arrive bloated with background apps. I'd like to disable some of those to make more room for these security features. Which ones should potentially be disabled? I know that's different for each user but just some general ideas?

Thank you for all the videos over the years. I just got the S24 Ultra and non of my screens look like yours in the different setting. I'm in the US with Verizon. I also can't get Airalo eSim to load and all the YT videos show screens different from what I'm seeing on mine. I'm leaving for Thailand tomorrow and need help please and thank you.

Good info, thanks. That secure wifi option is too much of a hassle to remember. Samsung should put a shortcut or better workflow on it. Or, better, let the 'auto' part remain, but announce when limits are met. I dunno. I'd think this is not for the average user, else why bury it deep in Settings, and put a paywall on it? My solution is to have VPN on in public places. Should do the trick, right?

It’s more concerning that the Google play system version is stuck on July 23 on my S24 Ultra - it was November on my S23 Ultra. This is a known issue.
Do you enable 'Auto protect Wi-Fi' at the bottom at 4:23?
I have a question -- does the Autoblocker feature block any security updates from Chrome or anything that should be pushed through from a reputed source (Chrome security updates, Samsung updates). I am afraid to turn on Autobloker because of this. Any information is much appreciated!

I just received my phone and I am doing all of your suggestions, however, when I click on the Ad Blocker it seems to hang up "thinking" and never allows me to enter anything? Do I need to contact Samsung about this issue? Thanks for all of your other recommendations.
I hate to say this but i dont have app protection ON device care IT only Battery Storage and memory . If i turn on the Auto Blocker and i want to use a portable storage from Samsung to put my pictures from my phone to samsung portable storage will it still work . Thank You !

I do not have an App Protection option on my S24 Ultra. The menu is the same under Device Care but the option you selected does not appear on my phone. I also do not have the option to Update Security Engine. I just bought this phone last week and the software is fully updated.

S24 bugs though
1.Auto blocker has a bug, atleast in india.
One of the network operators JIO stops working, can't receive or make phone calls & internets stops responding.
2. Enabling private dns blocks Samsung find feature, annoying to see Samsung find feature using adware networks.
Most of these apps won't be available if you didn't purchase an unlocked device.

How can I make notification previews show on lock screen? It pnly shows icons until I tap/wake it up. Ive enabled every setting to display details from Notifications, Lock and AOD, and App settings
Saki as long as you are downloading apps from the playstore you don't need this bloatware draining your phone all day long !
And anyways Every time you download an app from the google play store, it automatically scans for malware ,Viruses etc...

I have the unlocked version straight from Samsung. If your phone is carrier specific (Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile) then the features might not be there. That is why I bought an unlocked phone. I will never by another carrier phone.

I don't have "app protection" listed under Device Care. I found it under "Security and privacy". It's labeled "App security" which appears to be already active. Has a green check mark next to it. No security issues found.
Does the Secure Wifi feature have the same function to VPN apps who have masking IP address feature?
Thats what it looks like to me, you will have to be careful it may trigger safety net apps like online banking & MyGOV, i had this problem recently using Adguard as a VPN

I keep warning people about this....some don't even use a PIN. One guy posted a reward because his 10 day old Fold was stolen. If I am not mistaken iOS doesn't let you bypass setting up a PIN at the very least. Google should make this a mandatory step because people don't learn. I on the other hand am paranoid lol. I have Bitdefender as well. That one has an anti theft feature which takes a pic if there are 3 unsuccessful unlock attempts. Samsung find tracks all of your stuff...phone, watch, tablet....anything. BTW so far I've seen no conflict having Knox and Bitdefender working on the same phone. I've the S23 Ultra and these phones are huge...not the first time someone had it snatched from their hands same as any Pro Max Apple phone and from tables in coffee shops (yes really) waiter comes along with the napkin over his arm......covers the phone and bye bye 1k+ (yes seriously)....caught one guy on a CCTV camera doing that.
How do you lock phones like guided access i forgot what it was when you hand your phone to someone they cant go anywhere but the one page

I just got a brand new Acer Chromebook 315 few days ago but it cant be set up. After connecting to an internet, I'm stuck at the page of "Determining device configuration". It keeps saying "No network available".
I tried to browse as a guest and its going perfectly. Which means there is an internet connection.
I've done a restart, done a powerwash reset, but its still the same thing. It keeps bringing network not available...
Have you heard anyone having similar issues before.? Please kindly help me out

I don't have the App protection under Device Care. My screen shows the Battery, Storage, Memory and then the Performance Profile. How do I get to it?? My phone carrier is AT&T and the option is not there.

I have AT&T and I don't have secure Wi-Fi and also don't have app protection.
You should be able to search for secure wifi in the galaxy store
AS for the other protection features At&t has their own security app called active Armor
How come your phone battery life is 2 days
2 days if you don't use the phone at all. Once you start using it will change and show number of hours.
To make battery last 2 days, you need to do the following...
1.Turn on battery saver or low power mode.
2.Avoid actions that keep the screen on.
3.Avoid constant internet connection.
4.Avoid actions that process too much information.
5. Limit connectivity & location.
I do not have app protection.
Just read; it's not available on T-Mobile phones.
