Thanks for taking me fishing today, I really needed it. edited to add: today I learned "don't rig your rod at the truck" and that's a great piece of advice.
Don’t usually comment, but wanted to say thanks for leaving in the rough times of fishing in the video. I think most people think that advanced anglers don’t have tough days on the water, and that is simply not true. It also makes the fish you caught later in the video way more special. So I just wanted to thank you for being transparent. Keep these coming!
My father in law showed me how to put a grilling rack about an inch above the exhaust pipes insids the engine compartment of my truck so that on long drives i could cook food wrapped in tinfoil off the heat of my engine. I used it for years.
Really enjoyed a true day of fishing. Made accepting my pitiful experiences more tolerable. I’m not the only one with only one fly of the fishes choice or busting my rod. I will remember to bring a backup rod in the future. Look forward to some more of like videos from you.
Great video! I really enjoyed the way you showed your thought process as you worked the river. I just discovered your videos and podcast and now I’m addicted! More like this please!!!
Pretty good video, Alex. You are a VERY astute videographer. The footage you captured was exactly what most folks want to see and very "real." As one who appreciates sudden excursions to delightful places (or otherwise), you put me in your experience. That means a lot to solidifying authenticity to the average man (me). You did a great job capturing this experience. You turned an "average" fishing outing (broken rod, lost flies, torrential rains) into a real experience. I really appreciated your reasoning behind using brass bead head nymphs over the tungsten "super staggers" in shallow water. These are the types of tips some of us listen for. Alex, do this again . . . and again . . . leave Spencer at the shop with his Diet Coke and give us the "real" experience. Thank you, and do this again. If you need an 'assistant' or net carrier, give me a shout. I'm in!
Awesome video man! I’m a novice and so glad I found your channel. You guys make great videos…learning so much. I’ve learned how to observe what your flys are doing and change up if needed. Thank you much. Keep them coming.
This was amazing, thank you for making this. I have been watching all your fly tying segments and I'm excited to get into fly fishing. Converting a bait cast bass boy.
Glad you shared. Nice to see you are human and caught a bush. Good information that will help with fly selection. Did someone take your gear or did you just put it away due to weather?
Loved your video, definitely do more like that.. felt like I was there with you( also, I think you should do some ACDC Thunderstruck when uou catch a big fish😂😂)
Awesome video! I love videos like this one. Not enough of them in my opinion. I learned that old school fly line with a dropper still works. You don’t have to euro nymph I’m order to catch good trout! 🤣 I’m really into EN right now.
I really enjoyed the video! I learned a lot. I like your explanations and pictures how to build the rig, where to go, and how to cast. Thank you! Looking forward for the next!
I wish the same... but here our country is so people are Careless they use poision or electric to kill fish so there's no more fishes left.. And thats the reason i wished to get born in country like your's...🙏🇳🇵

Pumped to hear it. Glad you enjoyed. I love to use our Fly Flinger rod.
I loved this! I like how you weren't afraid to move to a new spot once you felt like you'd spent enough time in one place
Appreciate the feedback. 😎🤙🏽
You're a better man than I am! I have a tough time walking 100 yards along fishy water without getting a line wet.

Nice ☕️☕️
Which waders are those? Orvis ultralight convertible?
Skwala Carbons.
What did you mean by foam line??😊
Next time you go to the river, watch for little white bubbles along the surface/near seams. You’ll usually find fish there.
U think the fish can hear our screams😂
location a secret? :)
Somewhere in Wyoming, Idaho, or Utah. 😎😉👍🏽
