Friendly fire really should never have been removed.
No, because these people would be shooting you in the back at the beginning of the match, so you're down 50% before even seeing an enemy. I remember this happening a lot when team damage was still a thing.
Well its good to know they get banned for a minimum of 3 days. Wargaming is very strict with their sanctions

Here is an idea from me a indie dev: If a player turns blue then they are perma spotted to all tanks including the enemy & receive the stun effect while also being a x2 XP & Credits for doing damage to the blue target so that everyone would gang up to kill them as fast as possible from both teams..
If you want to turn it up a notch even further than that then you can add a badge besides their name that stands as a badge of shame that won't go away for the next 10-50 games depending on how WG would use it.
Only drawback would be people using the x2 booster as a way to cheat the system so you could always change it according to preference.
Always play Maus on weekends. Some dipshit pushes you. You push em out easily

They should them banned for at least 7 days. This happened to me too and when i say some bad words i get banned for 2 weeks... YOu can do what ever you want in this game but saying. GFYS or smth like that . NAH . Bad words >>>>> are the worst for WG
