My wife and I have one of these, and it a real joy to drive. More than enough power for us, fun and responsive to drive on twisty roads, but still has that typical Mercedes comfort and luxury on long road trips on big highways. It has astounding pickup, perky acceleration from low speeds, a great engine sound, and good fuel efficiency for a luxury sedan. It rides quietly, smoothly, and handles with grace and agility. No real surprises, and none of the quirks of a "sports car", but if you want to drive it hard on twisty country roads, or really lay it out on the highway, it has plenty of power in reserve and agility in handling to be fun to drive. Our only complaints are--and this is true with ANY Euro-Luxury Marque--is that repairs can be brutally expensive, even simple things like brake jobs or tune-ups...
The review is correct just purchased a C250 Coupe and I don´t miss at all the Pentastar V6 with 305hp from my previous car a Challenger. This turbo 4cc is faster than the heavy V6 mopar, that´s engeneering, light engines, and amazing 24 mpg on my daily comute, of course, on board of a much more confortable car with AMG seats which is standard for the Coupes.
we just bought a 2014 C250. Didn't think I would like the 4 at all. However, pretty smooth. Can get buzzy when you step on it, but we didn't buy the car for that. Would have to say it feels like a V6 most times.
The reason they all have a "Navi" button is that you can, at any time, purchase the Becker aftermarket module that plugs into the slot in the glovebox. Did you look in the glovebox or read the manual? I wish more cars allowed for such future upgrades.
Its Great car! Handles very well. Although i hate the door locks placement and back seats doesn't fold down. However I do like brake lock feature. if you press down on the brake pedal when coming to a stop it locks and you're able to rest your foot.
You all prolly dont care at all but does anybody know a way to get back into an instagram account?? I somehow forgot the password. I would love any assistance you can offer me!
My neighbor has one of these (non-sport) version. It's a nice car, but I did drive the older C250 (with the tiny 2.5 V6) and I feel the C is slightly heavy for 201hp. It's better than another Accord or Camry, but it won't win any races.
great review here.i agree with everything you talked about. but i still love the car and how it drives. it is a very fast amazing machine. my car is wired for navi and i'm going to get the module and plug it in.with every day it continues to grow on me.
what you mean doors automatically closes? You need to push to close the door. there is no button that closes the door for you. Headlamps and taillamps are only when it gets darker. During the day the LED lights are on only while you're driving. The lights DONT turn off when you park. The lights turn off 5 seconds after you pressed the lock button on your key. Auto shift gears are as likely to break as any car with auto shift gears.
Interesting, I take note of your comment on the door locks. The plunger style door locks is only for the American market where it is a regulation. None of the Mercedes in other countries come with the plungers. Since 1980 they have disappeared. As for the engines, the C250 is very similar in performance to the C300, but the 300 is way smoother and quieter. At the end of the day it depends on what kind of driving you are going to do. Good review, thank you.
Nope, not in the rest of the world. My 1994 W202 C180 had flush pins, my 2006 W203 C200 had flush pins, and my 2014 C300 Edition C (very interesting spec level, go have a look) also have flush pins.
my 2013 has NAVI, I don't use it though. Not a fan of the red seat belts or the steering paddle shifters. Luckily mine has neither, but wouldn't have minded the red stitching and 18" rubber that come with the sports package.
+John Perez I personally think this sport package is too cheesy. I also don't like the black/silver 18" wheels used here as well. The other 18" wheels are nice though. I like the Mercedes Navigation though; it is easier to use the BMW's overly complex iDrive.
You guys should throw this guy's name into the titles -- or create a playlist. I've opened and closed a couple dozen videos and can't find much of this reviewer.
my 2012 5.0 is being serviced for an axle leak. dealer put me in rental. decided to pay $15 on top of what dealer covers to get the c250. I LMAO when dude offered my the c250. I love it. My daily driver has 412 so I know fast. I was expecting this car to be turtle slow. Man, it's pretty quick. I was surprised. Thanks to this car, I know what I'm getting next.......C63 507 AMG!!
Not sure if the American version is different or whether you have the wrong figures!! the C250 in the UK has 204bhp and 369ft/lbs of torque and is a 2.2 ltr engine, the C220 is also a 2.2 but only kicks out 170bhp and 295ft/lbs , we also have a C200 and C180 with 1.8 engines, less power and less torque.
As far as the door pin locks go, you get use to them after a while. The way the shoulder of the car is made, it's too awkward for you to rest your arm on the window anyway...
Very reliable car don’t think just because it’s a foreign it’s like a bmw Mercedes is way better then bmw depending on how you take care of it but my c250 is at 185k miles and still is the most fun and reliable car I ever had and honestly I change the oil every year and I drive about 10000 miles every year parts are not as expensive and last a long while
A turbo engine will never ever have the ability to respond as quickly as a N/A engine. For raw power they are good, but for driving with finesse and content, turbo engines are kill joy.
A "stoic" interior? A better choice would have been "dour" or "austere." I know I'm being pedantic, but I can't stand incorrect use of words. Otherwise, an entertaining and informative review!
Yeah 4 cylinder isn't a new thing for Benz but that Kompressor engine from the old C230 was a nightmare. I've got a C280 with the M272 and it's a more reliable motor provided you get one without the balance shaft sprocket problem. Mine was taken care of under warranty and the claim was for a cool $6,400.
you are comparing a CIVIC to a MERCEDES. Even though it's not a top model Mercedes, it has more luxury, technology and style than a stupid civic. Of course the benz will be more. How about a Acura?
So some guys in Germany said not to buy the non German built MBZ. Who were these guys, and what empirical evidence did they provide that the cars not built in Germany are are different. The reason cars are outsourced from Germany is due to labor costs. 6 weeks of vacation with lots of holidays. That gets expensive as an add on to the car cost.
Yeah you got your money's worth with that one. I know I would have been kicking myself if I had to pay out of pocket to get the sprocket on mine replaced. Even though MB motors are smooth and put out good power I'm always weary just how they will perform in the long run because of their complication.
@Lashawn Milton how is your Mercedes-Benz working so far? I'm interested in getting one for my daily driver. Would you recommend or just stick to a beater car?
am I the only one that isn't a huge fan of this "budget" feeling luxury car? No HID headlights, looks like some cheap plastics on the dash, and I've test driven this car - it is NOT that fast at all. The V6 is way better.
Is this the same car that reporter Michael Hastings died in when it burst into flames in a suburb of LA after it collided with a tree and blasted the engine 60 yards from the crash scene??
Is the same car Rolling Stone reporter Michael Hastings died in? If so, would be curious to see some National Highway Safety crash test footage showing the C250 crashing into a wall at top speed and ejecting the engine 100 yards BEHIND it as local news reports of the Hastings crash describe. Has an engine ejection like that ever been recorded for any car ever, let alone a Mercedes? Daimler, NHTSA and the CIA need to hash out a plausible official narrative to put doubting auto consumers at ease.
I found a trend. BMWs are always reviewed by young heap cool guys. BENZ are always reviewed by either a woman, an old man or a geek. Is it part of their marketing strategy or what?
Disagree, my family has had mbz's for a longer period of time, they're still the same great cars, the ones that do suck ass are the ones not assembled in Germany.
My wife and I have one of these, and it a real joy to drive. Bruno Andrade I’m about to purchase a coupe too for $11k with 58k miles should I go for it how reliable was the car for you after 5 years
24 mpg😂 my diesel vw with 50 laughing
Me watching reviews of the car after buying it ._.
How did it performed?
@@pedroa.6473yeah He didn’t replied 😢
This guy is a brilliant reviewer... Much better than the others on AutoGuide.

I like this reviewer, funny and to the point. keep it up
agreed! great stuff
Things I learned from the video: The car has 201hp and the reviewer is clinically emaciated.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
my dream car...will surely buy it
Good luck bro
bought one today bro love it get one
@@maximusmurray8283hows it been bro ?
This bloke is good , should do more of them .
Favorite reviewer from Auto Guide. Speaks as well as he writes.

hello mister, you are amazing presenter !
very few people are this talented at speaking :)
props \m/
This guy is awesome...He should do more reviews !!!
I have a C250 with the 1.8, and the power and output is very good.
These Canadian guys are fucking awesome reviewers. The voice, the analogies, the clarity, the personality(ies), everything, its just all good stuff.

Nice review thanks I'm looking at one now 2024

Andries Steyn really? I thought the door pins carried out throughout in other countries

Andries Steyn yeah we currently own a u.s spec 2015 c400 4matic and all the other mercs we own have a prominent door pin
my 2013 has NAVI, I don't use it though. Not a fan of the red seat belts or the steering paddle shifters. Luckily mine has neither, but wouldn't have minded the red stitching and 18" rubber that come with the sports package.

That review was on point. Good Job.
Great review. I like this kid and his off beat humor.
Good review, im seriously considering this car for work. This or a ct200h, prob going with this.

i think you have got the diesel and petrol engines mixed :P
Good Review mister !
awesome review, like the review on the gps and door locks. good points.
So far this presenter is the most well-spoken from the videos i've seen from AutoGuide. He sounds the least scripted.
Liking the review. Very entertaining!
As far as the door pin locks go, you get use to them after a while. The way the shoulder of the car is made, it's too awkward for you to rest your arm on the window anyway...
Considering to Buy this in 2024 uk. Can I use it as daily driven car? How about insurance and maintenance
Great review!

Great reviewer.
Excellent review! Who's the new guy? He's pretty good!
0:28 "Oh my God is that a whip or a tail"
Yes dude... I did get them mixed up 👍 you don't really do diesels in the states eh
never seen hin before but good job almost like a smaller Colum...impressed sir...impressed
the benz is 'pre wired' for dealer installed nav
So upset i can't find one with the Xenon lights....almost impossible to find a 2012 with them
Much more favorable review than their review of the C250 coupe.
Craig Cole is the best. I hope he makes more videos.
The new civic Si is a 2.4-liter 4 cylinders vtec that produces 201 horsepower and 170 lb-ft natural aspiration. And it cost half of the price.
Great review thx

What the hell is that thing this guy is pulling after him at 0:40, a cable or a tail? lol...
$43K and no navigation? Unforgivable.
Got my like after that dirty little h word line 😂 puke between the seats lmao good stuff

Ha Ha, this guy is pretty good, maybe even good enough for sitcom TV. The next Seinfeld?
Those seat belts are disgusting on what's supposed to be clean luxury car.
I agree with you 100%.
Ya wtf were they thinking with that
HybridEnergy it's a sport package what the duck did you expect
Wrong, I grew up in Germany, what we tell you to avoid are MBZ's and BMW's that are assembled in America.
The red seatbelts are hideous. Otherwise, it's a cool car.
Yeah you got your money's worth with that one. I know I would have been kicking myself if I had to pay out of pocket to get the sprocket on mine replaced. hes right ,dont need navigation, use cellphone
What is this color?
I like the intro lol.
What would you estimate the 0-60 to be?
It's a about 7.1 seconds
yup, 2013 C250, exact one.
That's untrue. I have a 2013 sedan with navigation package and it's final cost is 42030.
Just bought a used one with 90k miles for $10,000.
How’s it ? Thinking of buying one next week. Does it have navigator ? In this video no
I bought the coupe with 56k miles earlier this year for $7k, still runs good.
@Lashawn Milton how is your Mercedes-Benz working so far? I'm interested in getting one for my daily driver. Would you recommend or just stick to a beater car?

does it have a backup camera??
mine did 350 tho
28 mpg! Thats three times what I'm getting now! :(
Not paying the extra bucks for a wireless lavalier mic instead of a wired mic is kind of Bush League.
Like him a lot
Here Im in 2024 checking If I can have it 😢
Reseach micheal hastings if thinking of buying the c250. Car exploded for no reason!! Please.
Is this the same car that reporter Michael Hastings died in when it burst into flames in a suburb of LA after it collided with a tree and blasted the engine 60 yards from the crash scene??
Only thing I hate are the DOOR LOCKS!! I hate it!! It is very uncomfortable to rest your arm on the door while driving.
I keep thinking Ned Flanders!
No projector headlights???? Come on!!!!!!!!
This car has pretty bad turbo lag:(
So funny seeing that cord behind u LOL
Is the same car Rolling Stone reporter Michael Hastings died in? "the 4 is all you really need" how can white bois compete
Disagree, my family has had mbz's for a longer period of time, they're still the same great cars, the ones that do suck ass are the ones not assembled in Germany.
This little guy knows how to talk for sho.
This chicken little guy is pretty good ... More pls
A lot of buzz words in this one. 7-speed transmission referenced as a "domestic partner"? Wow.
0:38 what is that he's dragging behind him ! hhhhhh
That cord bugs me man.
