In August 2022, the Union Cabinet approved continuation of PMAY-U up to 31st December 2024 with all verticals, except CLSS, for the completion of already sanctioned houses till 31st March 2022. For new applications, there have been no updates on the extension of the last dates in 2023 as of December 2023.
Update : In the Interim Budget 2024, the government has allotted Rs 80,671 crore towards Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna (PMAY) for the financial year 2025.
