I absolutely love this:) I do this method with metal trash cans... the tall ones. I drill holes about 8" up around the sides. As the trash cans are about 4' tall, I can make a walk through arch. It also works for cucumbers and climbing pole beans:)

Nettle fertilizer- Soak nettles in closed bucket for 2 weeks, occasionally stir, strain, use about half a cup in watering can. When flowering, fruiting. But I improvised, plus you can add comfrey and 3rd plant too (but I keep forgetting which..). It depends what is your soil depleted in, the plants you chose for fertilizer. I'm not that reliable in replying

This is so lovely and easy! I always have trouble staking tomatoes and the stalks and branches end up flopping down on the ground. I’ll have to see if I can do this!
This may just be my project for next year! is it possible to do this in ground rather than pots? also what wood did you use? I imagine the type of wood is essential to get that bend without snapping. One last question, what variety of tomato is this in the video? sorry for all the questions XD If this works well next year I may try the same thing with some green beans. I'd also use the space underneath for other crops, that like the shade
Thanks for your interesting questions. If you have a lot of land, just plant the plant directly in the ground. The main type of wood used is bamboo wood, it is very flexible and easy to bend. The type of tomato I grow is cherry tomato. Your idea for growing green beans is great, go for it. Good luck.

Испокон веков использовались высокорослые сорта помидоров, еще в 80х я это делала, до 2,5м плети подвязывала на жерди, а потом придумала пускать по забору . Так что это не открытие.Только помидоры вы получите, если у вас жаркий климат и целый день светит солнце ! Для мелких и зеленых подойдёт любой , только зелёные не подойдут вам-- они слегка ядовиты, как все паслёновые, соблюдайте меру !
Это только со стороны для не понимающих кажется круто и красиво. Допущено сразу несколько ошибок. Почему арка так низко? разве сложно поставить бутылки повыше, чтобы не ползать по аркой. Второе. У таких томатов мощная корневая система, она разрастается вширь. Здесь выросли в бутылках - это значит томаты напичканы удобрениями. Далее .. томат черри снимают только полностью созревшим. Если хоть немного не дозрел - вкус будет противным. Сладости в нем точно не будет. Ну и если растет на балконе, значит это город. да и видно за сеткой мелькают машины. Т.е весь смог и и другие выхлопные яды эти томатики в себя впитали. И вы реально захотите есть такие томаты? Вы едите городскую черемуху или яблоки? В общем томаты выращены для видео, в крайнем случае чисто для декорации, но точно не для стола, Но то время, которое они требуют только для декора, мало какая хозяйка рискнет потратить. Видео - очередной развод - восхищайтесь дальше!

What are the red and yellow things that you put in the tomatoes? It could be uneasy to find in my country.
The red stuff looks like a synthetic (probably immediately acting) fertilizer and the yellow stuff like an organic (probably long term) fertilizer.
