My grandpa used to have a small beef operation near Warba, Minnesota. He retired and got rid of the cattle when I was pretty small. My father and I kept using the land to make and sell hay for most of my school-age life. My dad still sells square bales, and I take vacation to help him with that. I live in Illinois now, and am involved only in the transportation of ag products, but at harvest time I love to go out and photograph equipment and people out harvesting.
I just want to say, you have an incredible operation.

I'm from Croatia. Not a farmer but always dreamed about that. My uncle is a pig farmer, has quite a big farm for our small country standards. I will never forget spending 12+ hours helping him with the wheat harvest, balling and manuring the harvested fields during my summer break in the high school. That was definitely one of the best memories in my childhood! Anyway great video and all the best to you and your family! Cheers

We are currently harvesting right now, we got 500 acres of beans off during the past two weeks with 2 6088 case ih combines both 40 foot drapers heads, 2 grain carts both on 340 magnums and 3 grain semis. We tried to get anhydrous on our corn around normal time but it was too wet during the spring so we put 28 on our corn really late and with 750 acres of corn it will only average about 120 bushels per acre. Luckily we had 1300 acres of beans out so thankfully we got more beans than corn.

I from Indiana, not a farmer I am a welder, fabricator, maintenance and Foreman where I work but I did grow around and been on lots of farm machinery doing rebuild and fabrication repairs to the farm equipment back when my dad had his portable welding business and where I learned to weld when I was 7 years old and been doing it every since. Me and my dad has spent countless hours out in the fields and even out past midnight countless times trying to get farm equipment fixed and back up and running. I do enjoy watching your videos, brings back lots of memories. Thanks

I have a 43a farm in South central Michigan with 24a tillable. 10 in beans & 14 corn this yr. Youll like this. I have a Massey 1505 210hp 4x4 tillage tractor & a Ford 5000 for everything else. So the 21' disc & 25' field cultivator needed a partner so i just picked up a JD 12 row 7200 planter. With a JD 4400 combine , next yr to be upgraded to a IH 1660 Life is GOOD. Only seen a few of your vid's but nice work. Not a lot of filler. If your bored some day check out my vid's and see how us little guys do it. 👍🏻🚜💨

City Slicker from Chelmsford, MA. Retired, so my leisure time pursuits include educating myself on a host of subjects including farming. I not only enjoy learning about farm processes employed and equipment used but especially hearing your comments on GMO's, pesticides, soil conservation, etc. I hear all the hype but feel it's important to hear the views from folks who work in agriculture. Balance, balance, balance...

Nice shop! I live in the Michigan State, between Sturgis and Centreville. I work in manufacturing facility full-time and help my neighbors who farm full-time. They just opened a large pork finishing operation and also grow crops including shell corn, seed corn, soybeans, winter wheat, alfalfa hay, sorghum, and potatoes. Mostly irrigated with center pivots but still have a few traveler runs as well. I grew up on a small farm and went to Michigan State for 2 years. I believe I've been genetically modified to love farming. Also a subscriber to Welker Farms. Great guys! Love your videos!

Grew up on a farm in Sauk Centre, MN. I miss farming. I help my wife's uncle, son and son-in-law just south of Cold Spring, MN where we live in town and it drives me nuts in town. I have a preference for International (the original), Case IH, John Deere, New Holland, etc. fall in line behind that. However nowadays If I can get in the field to pick rock, sub-soil, haul grain, etc. and the brand doesn't matter anymore. As long as I am outside and on a farm I am good. I work in I.T. which if given the chance would leave in a heartbeat. Glad to of found your channel. Your doing the farming community a great service keep it up.

I am not a farmer today. I grew up on a small farm in Southern California - 5 acres Avacados. I was in 4-H and FFA and raised sheep, pigs, and steers for the County Fair starting in 1977 to 1984. I would have loved to have the option to Ranch or farm large acreages but my family was poor so I settled to become a Civil Engineer, which ranching/farming is good training for.
I love your channel and live vicariously through your videos dreaming about what my life would have been like if I became a farmer.
Based on involvement in 4-H and FFA, and growing a lot of vegetables, rabbits, ang chickens I have a pretty good understanding of what your workload is like. My heart is in farming but I 53 years old with 25 years of Civil Engineering experience it is to late for me to change careers. I would love to visit your farm someday, but not until you are comfortable with me.
    Keep up the good work!

I could be a farmer, but I’m just a machinery-fanatic teenager living in the suburbs
I like the sight of the combines rolling down the field being so into such machines

Sorry for posting to an old video. I am a new subcriber from northern Georgia catching up on past videos. I'm not a farmer. I play the Farming Simulator series and I did used to go to my friend's dairy farm when I was a teenager in upstate New York. I loved working the milk parlor, feeding the cows and driving the various tractors they had. A cherished life experience!!!

I was raised on a farm in SW MINNESOTA and a grad of the U OF M AG CAMPUS and a retired OTR driver . The equipment we had was antiquated compared to the stuff now and my favorite tractor was Oliver 88 , that’s how old I am . Really a nice shop ! I couldn’t afford to heat it ! Lol

I have just come across your videos today and I’m impressed. I’m not yet into farming but I intend to start in a year’s time. I’ve graduated in horticulture but maybe I can get into crop production full time. I am currently in the UK but I will be based in Zimbabwe by next year. Hopefully you will continue sending the videos because they are so very informative.

I’m from the UK. We did a similar workshop heated by biomass. Like your doors and same as us, we never seem to get round to using those extra little rooms. Love your videos, Paul

My dad grew up in Iowa in Sheffield, a town 20 miles south of Mason city on an 80 acre hog farm, my mom is from Central Pennsylvania and grew up on a dairy farm. I grew up in Baltimore County M, not on a farm D but have spent a lot of time between both farms growing up doing farm work. Enough that watching your videos makes me think of Iowa. My Aunt lives in Bloomington MN.

Not a farmer -- but I am a food and agriculture historian, so I visit a lot of farms and talk to a lot of farmers, as I always love learning more about farming. I live about 35 miles NW of Chicago. Love the insights your videos offer -- and the ability to compare farming in Indiana with that in Minnesota, as different parts of the Midwest face different challenges.

Great video and fantastic shop! Not a farmer but loved watching farming when living in Utah and Nebraska. I'm out of the US now and retired, living close to Angeles City, Philippines. Mostly rice, corn, and sugarcane is grown in our area.
