For the last ever vocal performance just several days before... his voice actually sounds well, back to Figure 8 level. No shakiness at all. I really hope they release this eventually. It deserves to see the light of day. I think the family perceives the chorus phrase way too literally. Seems like he's saying "people say that I'm this desperate gloomy person, but I'm not!"
He sounds so rejuvenated and ready to go, real injustice he “committed suicide.” To add onto your message of the song, It’s quite literally about how Elliott hates people and media who were trying to portray him as someone who only makes sad songs that make people want to kill themselves, thus the reason why he claims everyone is trying to turn him into a “Suicide Machine”. The family should’ve kept this on Basement, real shame we’ll never see how the album was meant to originally tracked/sounded. Maybe for the 20th🤞
@@Awesomemusic19 It's just my interpretation, but I think Elliott was complaining here that everyone around him wants to see him as just a depressed guy making sad songs (e.g. Between the Bars, which is really popular and seemed profitable to record labels, I assume). But no, he is doing alright and is just going to sing what he's got. After all, he knew there were people out there who want and need what he had been already doing. He didn't have to turn into a suicide machine.

This song and abused were slated to make it on the record according to the producer, but his family had final word after his death and didn't include them.
@@copsarebastards I mean to be fair at the time it would’ve been odd to add this on the album but they should put this on like a deluxe edition or something
I'm pretty sure it's about how the media portrayed him as this guy who only made depressing\sad music that makes people want to kill themselves, which isn't true. He's basically complaining lol
Lmao getting the "you're not alone" search result from youtube when typing "suicide machine" into the search bar

he sounds like david foster wallace in this track
It's my understanding this was the LAST song he worked on the day of his untimely demise...
God Bless ES.
Where did you learn that information? I've never heard it.
Ive heard mixed info. Many people also say that King's Crossing was his last song
No
Mila Rose he wrote kings crossing when he moved to Oregon, you know
Likely it's a fable. Careful of distortions.
Like this one.
1:22-1:28 kinda sounds like Brand New Game to me.

I thought Elliott was gonna cover the song Suicide Machine by Death..
is he saying that he was gonna be poised suicidal?
i dont think he was but hard to say, i think jc did it

Did Ryan keep impersonating people online while hitting on and abusing Elliott Smith?
Hopefully the cops are following this and taking in my account as evidence.
