    Watching this before my trip to Point Roberts on Sunday. I grew up in Tsawwassen also but I never spent too much time in Point Roberts. I remember going for some bike rides with a friend there and it felt so different. I was seeing birds and insects I had never seen before in Tsawwassen. It's been well over a decade since I've been so I'm looking forward to it! Might check out the breakwater but definitely going to explore Lily Point! New spots are so exciting aren't they! Love all the different types of Sculpin. I've seen the Buffalo, not sure about the Great Sculpin! Also recently saw what I thought was a Sailfin Sculpin (after seeing it in your White Rock video) but someone said it's a Silverspotted. They look so similar! The major difference I could see was the top fin was a bit longer on one. Anyway...just love talking about and exploring the ocean. Makes my heart and soul happy. Reading about Megalodon today! Incredible to think a 50 foot shark that are whales actually swam around our oceans millions of years ago. Much love dude! Have fun in Bermuda! I'm going to Okinawa in October! Only for 3 or 4 days but can't wait for the diving. Also anxious about things like box jellyfish haha! Anyway....long comment! Peace dude.

      Hey! Sorry, I missed this comment. Happy you had a good time down there. And agreed, exploring new spots of so much fun. Especially when the conditions are good.
      Okinawa?! No way. Enjoy. That's always been a beachcombing bucket list spot for me. I never thought about diving it. Box jelly fish? That sucks. I was watching out for man o war in Bermuda but thankfully didn't get stung this time. Box jellies can be fatal. Check your traveler's insurance and make sure your coverage is good if you get stung haha. Make sure you bring your camera and post a video!

      My pleasure man! And yeah, unfortunately that seems to be the case. Other than the protected areas like Whycliff and Porteau Cove, things are pretty bare.

    Another fun video! I just moved back down to the coast from kelowna. I am the new assistant manager at Crescent Beach Marina.I can't wait to do some snorkelling in the area. Thanks for the video. Feel free to stop in.

      Thanks man and awesome! I had my boat there just before I sold it. My 7.4L 454 sucked in water and had to be rebuilt. Was huge $$$ but the mechanics were great and sympathetic. They all seemed honest and I trusted them. There is from great snorkeling around White Rock. Hike down 1001 step beach and walk out to the point. Yesterday I hit the White Rock pier again and got some Dungeness. Some good life hanging out in the rock piles too!

    Great video Chris. I havnt been to Pt Bob for 2yrs like you so excited to be able to visit again, it really is a unique and special place. Hope all the businesses there survived. That sailboat looked like it was heading for the rocks in the beginning must have been just the video angle. Nice to so much sealife under and over the water lol. Look forward to seeing more.

      Thanks man! And it sure felt good to be back. Going through the boarder was easy. They didn't even ask for my vaccination passport in the USA or Canada side. Or my arriva can app. Obviously have that stuff available but they didn't check. Felt just like old times! Lots of life for sure, and it might have been the view. I'd hope with a beautiful boat like that they knew what they were doing haha

    • @PNWSamson
      @PNWSamson  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Haha that's awesome. Now I'm pondering what type of PNW fish I'd be. Maybe a Lingcod. Or a spiny dogfish. Some days a jellyfish I suppose haha

    Awesome vid bro. I often went to point roberts to gas up back when our dollar was on par or stronger than USD. Surprised at how much life there was in that area you dove in!

    • @PNWSamson
      @PNWSamson  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah man it's a pretty special spot. Still pretty good savings at the moment, I filled up at $1.61 as where it was $1.96 in Tsawwassen. Still not as good as the flex fuel at $1.41 at the station next to my place haha.

    FAB FAB FAB!!!
    Love the compilation and the enthusiasm is contagious.
    So many of us went to PR for our 21st birthdays, even though
    19 is legal in Canada. Wow score on the eagles sightings.
    Outstanding underwater footage--some of best I agree.
    Buffalo sculpin were telling selves " *YOU NO SEE ME SIR { la la la stay still he will go on by* }

    Big pt bob fan here as well, go down almost twice a month for pickups/gas. Lily point area is certainly a gem, so close to the city yet so remote feeling. FYI there is a "free fishing" weekend for WA in June, i was thinking of bring my SUP down for some crabbing... but given what you observed, probably not alot of legal size.
