Hi y'all, i'm 68 years young just retired and sold my home (too big for just me). I am presently building a 1000 sq. ft. home and living in my 32' pull camper. I got to say i'm kinda digging it, well my Great Pyrenees not so much. Haha. I'm now thinking your RV living sounds good maybe more part time anyway for me. I would have to invest in solar electric system and more batteries to do more host sites and boondocking, but I have always liked to travel and now seems to be a good time. Y'all got me very interested in a new chapter of my life. Thanks for everything you do!
@@FindUsCamping national park memberships are a deal especially if you’re 62 or older. It’s $80 for the rest of your life. If you’re younger than that, I forget what cost is, but it’ll get you into as many parts as you can visit in a year.
Hi guys...thanks for the information...corn maze was awesome...just leaving the HDT rally...heading home..you guys stay safe...looking forward to your next video...J&A
Great video! Such good info. Is it difficult to find open campsites when you are booking with Thousand Trails? Do you know if the member campgrounds limit the number of sites they open up to members? We would likely get a zone membership to try it out and wondering if we’d have trouble finding openings with the shorter booking window. Thanks for all you do!
It depends on the campground you’re trying to get into, of course the higher demand spots go faster than the others. You can email us at finduscamping@gmail.com about which campgrounds you’re thinking about and we will be happy to let you know our thoughts.
Oh darn I wish I knew that about passport America. I just found out about a lifetime membership watching you and then to find out it’s gone made me sad. I really liked your channel though. I’m going to subscribe thank you
We can stay in the system and camp in the thousand trails network for the whole year. However if you are a transient RVer you can only stay for 21 days without moving to your next location. You can get an annual spot at a thousand trails park and stay longer at a time if you would like that better.
TT dues do NOT automatically freeze at 62. That feature is totally dependent upon the wording in your contract (of which there are many). We have been TT members since 2008 and our contract does NOT provide for frozen dues.
Ours Froze at 62, but what doesn't freeze is the encore park and trails collection. That price keeps creeping up on us each year. I really like our Thousand Trails membership. It has saved us tons of money. But I feel that the yearly price hikes on that part of the contract were not clearly addressed. But in general, TT is the best ticket in town, especially for fulltimers and at least up to now.
Thanks for all the great information. Unfortunately we saw this video a little bit too late on passport America, I’ve never even considered them in the past, but I went ahead and bought the five year plan, the lifetime of course is no longer available. We are hostin North Carolina for Boondockers Welcome , we are also with Harvest host, and several others. But that’s good information you guys put out. Hopefully we’ll see you on the road.
Thank you for this video! This is the most informative video I have seen on any of these memberships! I’m looking to get into the RV life in the next year and have needed information like this!
OK, you guys have the Premier membership with TT. I’ll be traveling in a small van. I’m not full time. From what I understand if you buy one of the zones, you can stay four days and hop from park to park WITHOUT seven days out. this may be ideal to go and see a lot of the area and not hang out for a week or more. I will have minimal set up.
Hi Guys- A lot of good information here. If I could provide any comment it would be to spend some time to organize your thoughts and objectives and maybe put togehter an outline and work together prior to the video. A lot of random discussions and the video could have been a bit more efficient and half the time. Otherwise good work and thank you for the info.
@FindUsCamping One was in Chapelle Nebraska, but they guy only charged $20 to start with. And the other was in Kansas, I think, but also again, it was only $20 to start.
Not all T T Memberships have dues freeze at age 62. I have had a TT membership for many years and bought it from another member but before making the purchase, I called TT to be sure it was a legitimate and that the dues would freeze at 62 with the membership I was buying and had provided them with the membership number. They said all was good to go and yes, the dues would freeze when I reached 62. They did not hold to that and when I questioned it, TT said that this membership did not have that benefit. I tried several times with no luck and was told once at one of the TT meetings that they used too have, that I should call in again because I was entitled to that. I am now 81 and have approached the issue several times over the years, and was told that I did not qualify. I am still a member at the moment but will probably be dropping out soon as the dues are very high and I don't use it as often. Not looking for sympathy here but just saying that not all dues freeze so get it in writing!
Can one just drop out without financial repercussions? Serious question. I thought it was similar to a time share and one could only get out if the membership was resold.
Great information, but this guy comes across as disrespectful. Um, she answered your question at 26 seconds in and that was only the first time I noticed that. Ugh

Great job explaining all the ups and downs of those memberships. We use almost all of those

Do you do the National Park membership? Is it worth it?
