I put all of my user manuals in book organizers from dollar tree, and they’re organized by appliance type. It’s really easy to keep organized, and sometimes Google is a pain. 😅
Our user manuals are in hanging file folders. Kitchen appliances, household appliances, paperwork that has to be retained for warranty purposes get filed away out of sight and it’s SO easy to find when you actually need something 😊
I completed all these the last week of December and I feel soo relived and stress free. It took me a few days to re-focus but it was completed. Took me one week but we did it 😊
Just FYI, you can dispose of expired medications at most big name pharmacies, or your police station (just make sure you remove any personal information from it first). You can look up your district’s specifications for what types of medications they’ll take at a police station or waste center, Walgreens and my police department don’t take liquids, for instance, but CVS does. If you can’t do those things for whatever reason, police departments will tell you to put pills loose in a ziploc bag with things like used coffee grinds, used kitty litter, something that would deter most people from trying to use them if they came across it, and then put it in your garbage. Some medications can also be flushed, but you have to check the packaging or look online if they are flushable. Most places don’t take sharps (needles/syringes) so most of the time you have to take them to a hospital, so if you take insulin or testosterone or have an epipen, you really shouldn’t dispose of those things in your garbage. I have an epipen that I have to get replaced every six months, and usually (fingers crossed) I didn’t have to use them, so over time I just collect a box full of expired and unused epipens, that could be dangerous if someone who didn’t need them decided to use it for whatever reason if they found them in my trash. So I just collect them in a box until it’s full and then take them to the hospital. I just decluttered my mom’s medicine *closet* she stocked up on right as the pandemic started, so I had to do a lot of research for that 😅 just good information to know I think
You are not supposed to throw away medication in the trash you need to go to a medication drop off box most are located in you local police department 😊😊😊
Good morning! Would you consider cleaning/decluttering a hobby or a necessity? I actually enjoy it as a hobby. Wanted to hear the thoughts from the guru herself. Ps you should also consider doing some digital decluttering like emails, old docs, etc on the computer.
For me it is a necessity. I don't know if you saw some of my old longer form videos from a couple years ago but my home used to be a DISASTER!!!! I went on a decluttering journey and I still have to force myself to do maintenance declutters and I hope my videos help others who were in the place I was a few years back or is just helpful for those who like to declutter :) and I SERIOUSLY NEED TO DIGITAL DECLUTTER haha
What a waste! Managing it with expire date useful. Imagine, have so much money, not look at & use food before it expires, that food is wasted. Do you have a community pantry or community refrigerator to donate food before expire date? So many people go hungry or have food insecurity…
First video I saw was SO Fast & Not understandable. This 1's a bit slower, too able comprehend. There ARE Differences between: De-Cluttering, Organizing & Cleaning/Disinfecting. This is not defined. Sadly too many people don't understand & could Use Direction in All of those area. Plus What & How to Clean Various items: Counters, Cabinets, Drawers, Furniture, Windows, Mirrors, Laundry: Clothes & Linens.
Look at all the money she just threw in the trash. This is what happens when you have no discipline. Here's a nifty exercise - go through your closet and dressers and total up all the money that you spent on clothes you never wear.

don't throw expired medications in the trash or toilet. Those should be taken to a pharmacy for proper disposal

also, most meds don’t expire when they expire, antibiotics could potentially be good for 20 years if stored well. Keep this in mind if SHTF

I saw someone use a slinky that was held together w 2 zip ties! They put their lids for plastic wear in it. It was genius!
It is great to declutter but most meds are ok for up to 10 years, depending on the med.
Holiday dishes and serving ware that you bought or was a gift and you have never used it.

No, they still can be used. on many items its only liability reason there is a date on it. Google what things can be safely used even when expired.
