My soon to be 16 year old was looking to have a Barbie box at her sweet 16( she is a diva 🙄) , but you two have given me confidence and thank you for explaining the materials used !!, i work at Amazon and we use that exact type if tape also , i can vouch that it is sticky good lol
So happy we could give you the encouragement you need to do this project! Glad to hear your first-hand experience with the gummed tape at Amazon, too. we've gotten plenty of packages from there sealed with it! :)
So glad you liked this! We unfortunately are too swamped with projects to take on any new ideas, but if you make one yourself definitely let us know how it goes!
Thanks! The Barbie sign size will vary depending on how big your box is. If you download the cut file from our blog post and open it in Silhouette Studio, you can size it to whatever size you need to fit your box front.
How much you need will depend on the size of your box, so measure and check the square footage. We used three rolls of the pink because we wanted no seams on the sides. We could have gotten away with two if we patch-worked it :)
The color was just "Pink". Amazon has been sold out ever since the Barbie craze hit, but it's in stock here: www.kqzyfj.com/click-2518568-15283256?sid=btp&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.discountschoolsupply.com%2Fschool-supplies%2Fclassroom-decorations%2Fbulletin-board-paper%2Fbetter-than-paper-bulletin-board-rolls-u-2013-pink---1-roll%2Fp%2Fs816659

The box was free, the blue paper was about $10, and the pink paper was about $40. We already had the remaining craft supplies on hand, but if you needed to buy those from scratch, it might be another $10-20.

Thanks! Yes, it's the perfect selfie spot!
Making one for my daughters for their birthday awesome work ladies
Awesome! Thanks for watching :)
The better then paper is so nice. I just think every time I use vinyl and how wrinkly it gets. Great work!
Totally! It was such a great material for this project, and made the box look even more like a giant toy!
Thank you for this video!! I used the same materials just a different color.. my daughter loved ❤it!! Thank you
So happy to help! What color did you use? We would love to see a picture

I wish I saw this earlier for our Barbie themed LabWeek, April 14-20, 2024
Oh no, sorry you missed it!
Hello I love it 🤩 What are the measurements of the box on the wide side? so that two people can fit
Our finished Barbie box was about 38" wide, but that was because the cardboard box we started with happened to be that size :)
@@chicaandjo oh thank you ✨️
Loved This !! Are you all able to do a guide for a magazine booth with the acrylic front
So glad you liked this! We unfortunately are too swamped with projects to take on any new ideas, but if you make one yourself definitely let us know how it goes!
This is cute
Thanks!!
What brand of spray adhesive do you recommend? Your attached link shows a variety of different sprays.
We aren't brand loyal when it comes to spray adhesive, and actually used 2-3 different cans we had on hand for this project ;)
So cute! How many rolls of “better than paper” did you use?
Thank you! We used three rolls of the pink because we wanted no seams on the sides. We could have gotten away with two if we patch-worked it 😀
🥰 cute
Thank you for watching!
Great job! What’s the measurement of the Barbie sign for the silhouette?
Thanks! The Barbie sign size will vary depending on how big your box is. If you download the cut file from our blog post and open it in Silhouette Studio, you can size it to whatever size you need to fit your box front.
How long did it take you to make approximately?
We didn't track the time, but we did do it all in one afternoon :)
How much better than paper pin roll did you buy/use?
How much you need will depend on the size of your box, so measure and check the square footage. We used three rolls of the pink because we wanted no seams on the sides. We could have gotten away with two if we patch-worked it :)
What color paper did you get? Did it have a color name?
The color was just "Pink". What size cake plate did you use?
For the Mattel sign, we used a 10" cardboard cake circle.
How many rolls of paper did you use?
We used three rolls of the pink because we wanted no seams on the sides. We could have gotten away with two if we patch-worked it :) Remember that how much you need will depend on the size of your box, so measure and check the square footage.
How much did it cost to make
The box was free, the blue paper was about $10, and the pink paper was about $40. We already had the remaining craft supplies on hand, but if you needed to buy those from scratch, it might be another $10-20.
What are the dimensions of the finished box?
Our box was 40” wide and about 7’ tall but that was mostly determined by the size of the sofa box we started with.
