I didn't get into Duel Links that much, the playstyle, field, and other parts about it felt way too restrictive for me, so I played it literally twice in my life, and deleted it a long time ago. Now I wish this track was in Master Duel. It's so freakin hype.
Duel LInks is more for casual fans trying to get back into Yugioh and who want a more causal friendly way to play really. It's not so much for the active TCG players who prefer the more combo heavy master duel. Particularly as Duel Links has a stronger focus on the anime, where they assume most of the casual fans are from. And yes it even continues the stories from the anime. It's not an Alternate Universe thing like most games, there's legit new lore that picks up where the anime left off. But that's fair.
