In this After Effects Tutorial I'll show you how you can create a miniature look on any of your footages with the help of Depth Maps. This effect is also known as tilt shift effects and was used in the title sequence of the recent release Bambai Meri Jaan.

Can we do 3d compositing in davinci resolve also ? Or are After effects the best for 3d compositing ?
Duh hardly any difference to just throwing a gaussian blur and put on a mask band in invert mode. It will give u the same tilt shift look. For this scene my straight fwd suggestion would work easily. There may be very niche scenes where it warrants this depth map methodology, even that too niche.
