I truly believe that a dog should get EXTRA points for shaking the glove! shows motivation, proper training in "drive" mode/ and as long as the dog does not run off or go off course while bringing the glove back, extra points would be given for shaking the glove!!!!!! I LOVE your dog. Excellent job. I've trained 3 dogs through utility but didn't compete... now, in my mid 50's , I finally have the time to do so. See you in the ring! Great job!

Verbal cues are acceptable but any nerves you feel come out in your voice. Hand signals are non emotional, and for me, more reliable. Train both. Some situations may be more suitable for one over the other. If my dog seems highly distracted, I may use verbal cues. But, generally I stick with hand signals. Good luck!!!

I really enjoy watching your videos. What hand signal do you use to have your dog go into a stand with you being 10 feet away from them
I hold my hand out, palm down. It doesn’t really matter what signal you use from a distance as long as you’re consistent.
