Heh i did the same way back in 2004 , it felt amazing :) WoW blew me away back then, i remember finishing the Warcraft 3 campaigns and then started playing WoW and it transformed everything to a new level, you are not just "Government" of sorts as in Warcraft 3 , guiding units with your hand-mouse-pointer , working towards the goal on a global scale, but now you ARE this unit that was ordered around, only this time you are in control and can travel the world! Wow the deforestation in the Ashenvale! Machines are still there woooow! Wow the Ruins of Lordaeron as if time stopped, the fallen kingdom ! Damn you Arthas! Wow the Naga and murlocks! Hah get out of my way fishies! Wow Orgrimmar like in that bonus campaign but now fully built! I help you built it in Warcraft 3! And so on, it felt amazing, I liked that feeling of just regular unit that got unchained from command and could explore the world. Every new zone had its own obstacles, it was harder and harder to travel around off the beaten path, it felt rewarding and so many Warcraft 3 references in everything. Now you can steamroll through everything or have your own private jet like some Tony Starks :) Scared to start WoW Classic again, i know it will suck me in hard, I have responsibilities and big projects now, but damn i feel like its the best WoW there was, maybe leveling could be shortened a bit but in terms of effort/reward it felt nice. Starting from Burning crusade it was already too streamlined. Locations were always great tho. Music imho became too concert'y , it went from atmospheric and ambient to "there is concert somewhere in this location and speakers blasting to 11"
This game is a legacy. I come every day and play this video - taking me back into childhood, those endless days and nights playing with my friends. Call me nostalgic, but those were the best times I ever had.

Probably one of the greatest games ever created. It layed the groundwork for so many games that this is really a top 5 game of all time. Just think about it. MOBAs, Tower Defense, RTS going forward.. WoW.. this game has to be one of the most influential game to exist.
thats just a perception. I never even heard of it until i was well past 30yo, becos it had blood and killing and our parents cared for such things and would never have allowed to play something with gore. But i think the storyline hits way harder now, especially the treachery parts

Ufff, hope it wont be to long... I remember playing Warcraft 2, then this masterpiece. After school i remember going with friends to a cybercafe and play FFA mode, later when i had a good pc i played it on my house all the time, then DotA came up and i was addicted, i remember using the command whenever i started a match -music human1. Then i started playing WoW way later, when it was already Cataclysm i think, wanted to play it before but i tho it was out of reach for me, because of the pc and the suscription. But playing so much W3 and then playing WoW was the best thing that happened to me, the best lore in the world, i read all the 10320145 books and comics. 1 year ago i acomplished the 0 to 100% lore of Warcraft, that journey was epic and i love Warcraft to much. But there is something im ashamed off, i cant get to max lvl in any WoW exp, because i get like bored of the same thing (thats why i admire people that had and that has many characters lvl max), it pains me to much because the only lore i couldnt reach for myself is the one in WoW, i mean... i know what happens but i wanted to be there... Killing Arthas and such. Tried playing Classic but i couldnt end it, i love the music, the lore, the game but i cant play it to max lvl. I love the blood-elf starting zone, i love them and im ashamed of not being there while we kill the traitor of Kael'thas. :( Thank you so much Everness for all this videos, you are a hero to us, those who age are over 30's. This is a santuary for the ugly world where we live. (i think i thanked too on the bloodelf vid :P)
Everyone should try this -> play any rts game, let's say heroes of might and magic. Turn of the music and put this on in the background. Such a good experience when replaying old games. Because no matter what warcraft 3 will always be top tier nostalgia with the best game soundrack
Last days of the Alliance was initially more suited for Blood Elves, as they were indeed living their own last days in the Alliance, before changing and then turning into another side...

@@ytpaulthebest It is underrated, that's true. So far I've only seen it used in those pet battles (weirdly remixed, if I recall correctly) and in some dungeons that dealt with historical events (that one about Thrall's escape from Durnholde Keep, for example) :)
I beat this game. It's the only rts I've ever played to the end. It was challenging. Oh wait, the first and second C&C I beat too. This art style defined WoW and to a lesser degree LoL.

After playing through it (and the expansion of course) I have to say, it holds up remarkably well.
