And morons like this guy post claiming “DEADLY” ruining its reputation to the 12 year olds that watch his videos. The only reason they have such a bad reputation is because people would collect them and drive them on old, rock hard tires. If you’re not an idiot, it’s not dangerous
I own a 2008 Viper convertible & a 2017 Viper ACR Extreme, & while most of what you said is true about the 2008 as it’s a total raw analog beast that will kill you if you don’t fear & respect it, wants to cook you if it’s over 80 degrees outside, & is far from an ideal daily, it’s also an absolute blast to drive and will make you a better driver if you want to keep it on the road. On the other hand, I feel that the 2017 ACR is actually a more civilized car with some surprisingly nice creature comforts and luxuries you wouldn’t expect on a Viper, and it’s actually more comfortable and has a decent sized trunk. I still wouldn’t drive that car daily for many reasons…..From the crazy amount of unwanted attention you get when driving it, to the insanely rapid rise in values, to the fact that it’s a race car that happens to be street legal and is far from ideal to drive in anything but warm sunny weather, etc….. In the end, they’re two of the best & most enjoyable cars I’ve ever owned that put big stupid smiles on my face anytime I get behind the wheel, & I’m grateful that I have them in my garage to enjoy occasionally on beautiful summer days. 🏎💨
Lmao I daily drove an RX8 and it blew a side seal right before the gas prices skyrocketed, I can confirm it is a super fun car to drive but I would never daily another one again, unless of course I had unlimited money, I guess the blown motor really was a curse and a blessing at the same time, now I drive a Mazda3 with 40mpg and currently saving to make my rx8 a drift car.
100% agree about the 4C regarding the interior and boot space but I daily drove mine for 3 years and it was very reliable, only needing one outside of scheduled service, turned out to be a $200 sensor.
I daily my Viper... Love it. Plenty of room for groceries, my sons sits in his car seat without issues, gas isnt any worse than a truck when youre just crusing around not being rowdy.
@@davidmopar8446 Yeah the Coupes have the added advantage of a little bit more trunk room because of the rear hatch too. You can easily load up 2 people worth of weekend getaway and enjoy yourselves... as long as someone is willing to hold drinks... lol
The SRT-6 version can do low 11's with a few mods & a tune. A transmission tune came out recently that also makes them even more fun to drive. I got one for only $14k and 20kmiles on it and it is a true AMG car. I made 415hp to the wheels without a hiccup. Runs and runs without issue.
With the RX8, one of our customers bought one and immediately engine swapped it. He loves the car now. Worst car i have personally driven was a Ford Fuckus SE sedan. Its automatic trans liked to randomly shut down while driving. Anytime. Anywhere.
I disagree with the Viper being on this list. But what do I know? 😏 I've only been daily driving one for 15 years. And if I had a Countach, it would be daily driven too!
My first 4 wheeled vehicle was my worst daily driver, a '65 Ford Econoline van! What a pisspoor design. But what did I know, it was 4 yrs old and I was 19. A loud and gutless engine between the seats, horrible handling combined with marginal brakes. It was death on wheels! Should never have been put into production. The front end 'crush zone' was your legs. I somehow survived it.
"Worst Daily Drivers Ever" List has sports cars, retro supercars, a fucking formula one car replica, and so on. I can't tell if this is a serious video, or if I'm just not getting the joke. At this point, I wouldn't even be suprised if these guys made a Top 10 worst supercars, and the list had Camrys and Civics. The fault of the PT Cruiser Convertible is that it didn't have structure, so they added a roll-bar. I can't tell if these videos are serious or not, because there's just no way these are
I only drove one of these cars. The first gen viper. I would never drive that as a daily. I almost lost control in second gear and that was at 90 MPH that I didn't even realize I was going that fast. shifted into third and took it back. Glad to be away from that death trap!

I've been daily driving an RX-8 for seven years with no problems. You just have to know how to maintain it, and the only downside is poor gas mileage (which doesn't concern since it's a sports car).
All of the Caparo T1s that were used in media were all prototypes and the problems that occurred were fixed for the production model, so therefore, it isn’t all dangerous, also I watched a review on it which the reviewer said the car was quite “quite comfortable”
The first car that I owned was by far the worst car that I've ever driven, 1987 Chevrolet Nova. Aside from the Tesla Model X and the Dodge Challenger GT AWD that I only drove on test drives for 30 minutes each, the best car that I have ever driven was the 2001 Toyota MR2 Spyder that I wish I never got rid of.
My daily driver is one of the worst cars ever made. The ironically named 1982 Reliant K Car.... By the time I was driving it, it was 20 years old - and all its better days were a distant memory lost in the city fleet.... It was fickle temperamental and downright dangerous.
I test drove a Crossfire SRT-6 and it was a blast. I think it would have been more successful if the price was more realistic when all things considered.
I mean with the Countach door thing, you can install a modern camera for backing up like they do on modern cars But that unfortunately doesn't fix all the problems, I think I heard one of the trunks wasn't even weather proof or something
Chevy impala 66 sport sedan , manual transmission, no ac , no power steering , no power breaks , i had it for 3 years . it had true 33k miles , got it from its first owner . simply it was floating boat. a muscle without brain .
Any production "track" car really. 20 years ago I managed to grab at the time my dream car, a Z06 (without magneto ride). Did track it a couple times, but mostly just tried to daily it. Bad idea, and after the newness wore I finally admitted that to myself and started driving my wife's old Lexus to work. I got rid of it a few years later after coming inches from killing myself in it.
I bought a Viper GTS Coupe, even after reading about how hot, uncomfortable, and poor riding people said they are. What, do these writers ride around in Lincolns? The GTS has air conditioning!!! How hot can that be? It's a sports car. These have small cockpits and are not plush cruisers.
Worst car I ever drove was a mid 70s mustang 2. I called it a Pinto sport coupe but thats being awfully unkind to the Pinto. Second place went to a Vw with that clutchless 3 speed transmission.
Bro in Pakistan the Mazda RX-8 is the most affordable and one of the best sports car. Yeah but most of them have some different sort of Toyota engine inside the hood like 1JZ or 2JZ NA and other Toyota engines
the worst car i drove was a Chevy Matiz i had to borrow for a week because my Scirocco blew its turbo and with that its engine, the steering was far off to the right, it was weak as hell and over 60mph it would wobble really dangerously on the highway
Should throw Malibu in the list... Driving one as a rental, it's more noise (when flooring it) than power. Granted its not meant to be a sports car, but the way it handles is not great, and when just driving. The shifting is strange. Still holding the same RPM while shifting gears. Like WTF? lol.
Had a 3000gt vr4 after 3 engine rebuilds and two clutches I got rid of it I always. Wondered if it would make it to and from where I was goin every time I drove it .
I would 100% daily drive a Viper (providing I could afford that gasoline, with NAZIfornia's insane prices) I not only appreciate, but ENJOY cars that are for DRIVERS. By that I mean that there are minimal driver's aids. You SHOULD be integrated with your vehicle and know every little thing that you are doing when driving. Do I enjoy my "creature features" of A/C, GPS and rear cameras? sure, but they aren't necessities, just perks. I have a hard time pinning down the "worst" vehicle I've driven, and not only have I driven many.. but I enjoyed them all to some degree. I take pride in being able to be referred to as the guy in the group that can "drive anything with wheels, and some things without"
If you like the RX8, but you don't want to deal with the reliability, get an NC Miata. The two cars share a platform, only it's extended on the RX8. The NC Miata, despite its unnecessary hate, is arguably one of the best generations of Miata. It's the easiest to find, it's probably the cheapest (For early NC's), and it's faster than both the NB and the NA because it has a 2.0. I have an '08 NC Miata, so I can confirm that it's a solid car.
Worst car I've ever owned, a BMW E36 M3. Never knew when it would break down or why. Left me stranded a lot but never blew an engine unlike my Jaguar x type.
Radical SR8 RX should because it was made to be designed for the race track and it has a no roof. The interior of SR8 RX feels more like a race track car a daily driver. And also the vehicle made popular in video games like the original Forza Horizon game for example.
Mad. I drove a plastic pig. Oh god, they were so bad. No not bad. Then I bought. A Reliant robin. It didn't tip over like the Robin. But it was extremely dangerous. It would bounce you across the road, with slightest indulgence in the road...
Ease of operation, comfort and fuel economy!! The Mazdaspeed 6 was hard to drive very tight stiff clutch and it demanded perfect fuel;pedal ratio!! So bad in traffic jams ouch Charlie-Horse!! The turbo Chrysler LeBaron was like this too!! So the RX-8 wasn’t the only Mazda..
Previous owner put a turbo timer, total waste of money! You can sit there and let it run for 30 seconds to allow the turbo to cool. But that’s what the intercooler is for doi!!What it did to me is I would turn it off, then later get in it and forget it automatically turns back on, so you go to park and pull the E-brake and put it in gear then turn the key off then I let my foot off the clutch then bang !! The car is still running because of the timer and you end up replacing the clutch prematurely because this happened countless times!! So never buy a turbo timer!!! They’re pointless
Worse... It's a toss up between a 1980 Chevy Citation X11 with a 4 cylinder an a 1986 base model Dodge Colt E.... Don't see either on the road nowadays for a reason ....lol many reasons.
Put that Viper V10 in a Ram and it works great for a daily driver as long as you don't mind paying $100 to fill up. I love my 2004 Srt10 Ram I got for $13k. Dropped about the same amount in tires, transmission and rear end gears, slow bleed lifters, and daily drove it for the last 3 years. Bought it at 104k and currently close to 120k miles.
Worst car I've ever driven Jeep Wrangler Rubicon (2012) Best 1990 Mustang Fox Body & Current 2016 Mustang Performance Pack 👦🏻👍🏻🏎️🏁 Wouldn't mind Viper Venom Coupe Though, next year will be looking at ordering a Mach1 Handling Package
Bashing on the 4C makes me think you’ve never been in or driven one. The interior is very nice leather and feels well built. The lack of power steering isn’t even that bad (I’ve driven it btw) because it weighs less than 2500lbs. It’s only 5 inches wider than a Miata. I daily drive a Miata and it has LESS trunk space. I go to and from work everyday and it works great to bring my stuff and my friends stuff.
Reliant made a 4 wheeler called the Kitten & I will think you will be very surprised to hear that they are one of the fastest best handling cars ever produced by a British company in the 1970s, Nah, that's a lie they were pretty shit too & you needed a full car licence to drive them, so they lost virtually all their customer base, but they did build something called the Scimitar, that will surprise you, look it up.
RX8 Stick a V6 in it, the engine it should have had & it runs like a dream, none of the unpleasantness of the Rotary it starts, stops & goes beautifully, so much so that my beautiful wife that fkin hated it as a Rotary loves it to death & won't give it back.
Gen 3 Vipers at least came standard with stability control tho and the Gen 5s are more civilized since it comes with all the aides such as traction control , launch control, stability control, adjustable suspension, a backup camera, etc. you can still fit a set of golf clubs in the trunk so its okay on space for a sports car
Most unreliable cars I've had including dangerous cars 1. 1993 Volkswagen Corrado G60 - blew two engines and had multiple electrical problems always. Fix one thing and another breaks 2. I have a Merkur xr4ti (Ford Sierra - German Ford) and that should speak for itself. 3. 1972 Super Beetle had no floor board under passenger due to rust Cars I regretted buying 1. 2005 SRT-10 Ram - not a real truck because it will cost you a months pay if you damage a wheel and tire in a pothole. If you wanted to put large objects in the bed you had to unbolt the wing just to maneuver stuff around.
The worst car as a daily I've sat in the driver seat of....hands down out of the two cars I got as a young enthusiast it's gotta be my 72 gran torino no safty features whatsoever I think the previous owner removed a lot stuff which i,m assuming could have potentially been the only safety features it may have had as so called"weight reduction "I didn't look into it yet if in 1972 these things even had many safety features the only thing saving me would be the rollcage but on the streets it makes me not wanna have a rollcage unless I wanna bounce around in it i,m relatively a new car enthusiast and I have no idea how to remove the cage it almost flipped over on the highway a few times despite having the rollcage but it's still a fun car and it's not gonna be like this for long but I just wanted to share it's current state I plan to add more power but i kinda wanna keep it na just in case it's too much power for the car to handle. I don't wanna pre plan a build cuz it sounds boring but I would love some build ideas for my torino and also I wanna know how to rebuild a rollcage clearly the one in it now isn't doing it's job but at least my friends say it can cruise and rated it at like 3/10 "yeah it can totally cruise".man I wonder what future waits for me I need to finish high school first tho and want to meet other car guys and see their builds n stuff .everything aside I,m amazed to this day how I was able to convince my parents to let me keep this car and i,m thankful for them.
I'm daily driving a W201 Mercedes-Benz sportline 2.6 190E Baby Benz that was built like a tank. With over 300,000 miles on it. And it still runs strong. Good on Gas in the city but on the highway it revs high. So I'm motor swapping it with a 4 Cylinder M102 engine 2.3L
The Viper isn't as dangerous to drive as people say it is. You're more likely to crash in a Porsche than you are in a Viper, but hey, it's not like a single paragraph will fix it's already 30yr long tainted reputation. 🤷♂️
And the Reliant Robin was actually quite difficult to tip over, everything is based on the driver. Some people work on pop culture instead of facts. I mean, let's be honest that this list has very few actual daily drivers in it. I mean... Caparo T1?
My viper was my daily for two years and I absolutely loved every dam second!
And morons like this guy post claiming “DEADLY” ruining its reputation to the 12 year olds that watch his videos. The only reason they have such a bad reputation is because people would collect them and drive them on old, rock hard tires. If you’re not an idiot, it’s not dangerous

Mazda 3 club!

In a weird way, the Chrysler Crossfire is one of my favorite cars in terms of style. Definitely an unpopular opinion though.

But what do I know? 😏 I've only been daily driving one for 15 years.
And if I had a Countach, it would be daily driven too!
had a ram srt 10 and it was friendly enough to daily drive
Sorry but lack of driving aids/nannies don't make a car poor to daily drive. It does illustrate that most people can't handle more than 300hp.
My family had a h2 hummer for ab 14 years. And that was such a great family car for us. No major problems and it was so fun in the snow.
I feel like including already bad cars is cheating. Should've made the list about good cars that would be bad daily drivers. Like 98% of Lamborghinis
Fun fact Jay Leno dailied his countach
H2 was the worst thing I ever had.
The Pt cruiser isn't that bad especially if you get the 2.4 turbo since that is a str4 secretly
If you want an rx8 buy one of the ones closer to the end of production (the engine problems with "fixed" in the final years)

If you don’t want something wild don’t tune your car. Cosmetics are ok
Viper can be a nice daily, becouse every drive is a special experience.
I have a daily driver RSX-S. Good car.
I'd daily a Crossfire.
Mustang II is by far the worst car I ever drove
RX8 Stick a V6 in it, the engine it should have had & it runs like a dream, none of the unpleasantness of the Rotary it starts, stops & goes beautifully, so much so that my beautiful wife that fkin hated it as a Rotary loves it to death & won't give it back.
Gen 3 Vipers at least came standard with stability control tho
and the Gen 5s are more civilized since it comes with all the aides such as traction control , launch control, stability control, adjustable suspension, a backup camera, etc.
you can still fit a set of golf clubs in the trunk so its okay on space for a sports car
Most unreliable cars I've had including dangerous cars
1. 1993 Volkswagen Corrado G60 - blew two engines and had multiple electrical problems always. Fix one thing and another breaks
2. I have a Merkur xr4ti (Ford Sierra - German Ford) and that should speak for itself.
3. 1972 Super Beetle had no floor board under passenger due to rust
Cars I regretted buying
1. 2005 SRT-10 Ram - not a real truck because it will cost you a months pay if you damage a wheel and tire in a pothole. If you wanted to put large objects in the bed you had to unbolt the wing just to maneuver stuff around.
Can a channel be better than this one? I dont think so
darnit th viper is my dream car
I don’t know anyone that has a Dodge Vipers drives it as a daily driver…🤦🏽♂️
A dude in my tiny town takes turns daily driving a viper half the time and a Tesla the other half.
12 year olds be like : sUprA iS BetTeR
any front wheel drive macpherson automatic, oh wait
I mean okay in some segments of the video you are right, but who would daily drive a fucking countach, viper or caparo
Yaris 02 no rooms.
Viper
crossfire cutouch and viper seem like a decent cars. 😅 people just cant DRIVE
Toyota Prius
ideal never fails to give me advice
LS swap it 😏
My entire goal in life currently is to be able to purchase a Gen 1 viper. Seriously
the Honda crx answers all those questions during the begining of the video 😁🥳😝
E60 M5?
I'm daily driving a W201 Mercedes-Benz sportline 2.6 190E Baby Benz that was built like a tank. With over 300,000 miles on it. And it still runs strong. Good on Gas in the city but on the highway it revs high. So I'm motor swapping it with a 4 Cylinder M102 engine 2.3L
I love my Viper but cannot drive it in winter, rain, snow, city, traffic.
TH-cam keeps deleting my benign comments
I would say the worst car I ever driven was a 2007 Nissan Versa which was a lemon but thankfully I got my money back.
I mean... Caparo T1?
Second
best daily driver? volvo 850
m6
