The replacement is fairly simple to do, so long as you are comfortable with heat and prying the adhesive under the glass digitizer.
I used a hair dryer to heat the screen edge it works, thanks.

I have Samsung Galaxy J500 phone with badly working power on switch. Now switch completelly stopped working and can't turn on phone after attempting to fix button. Also after disassembly I noticed horizontal crack on display glass which appeared when trying to unglue frame. When phone connected to USB I can hear vibration, phone won't react to pressing buttons. Display shows nothing. Is it not working power button or broken display problem?

I have a j5 (2016) which I dropped in the toilet (!) And it works perfectly...except the touch screen.. is it worth me doing this do you think?

I tend not to worry about dislikes too much - generally they'll be because people think it is too hard to do so hit dislike to show their displeasure at Samsungs manufacturing decisions, or in some cases, people who have similar videos will spam dislikes to try and improve their videos ranking in search results.

Do you think it's credible to buy the screen for 15€ from ebay or is that sketchy? [mine flickers on low resolution (probably cus' I dropped it), I use 'Screen filter' and 'Night screen' at night in bed; I like it very dark due to sensitive eyes but it started flickering which is just like flashes of radiation into the eyes)]
However the main issue is the jack connector and I wanted to know If i'd need to buy any sticker or adhesive for it because I know that I have to move the screen AND the back of the phone to replace ite.

Tip about Home button arrangement. If you replace your LCD screen and need somehow to arrange properly the Home button inside LCD hole, do it with tape. That is the best and easiest way. Find easily removable paper tape, stick it to the front of the screen to cover Home button hole and then from the back insert Home button into that hole. In this moment LCD and Home button act like one piece. Put LCD on frame properly, try to click the Home button and see if it lowers (click). Then you should be fine. Remove the tape from top of LCD and you got it! Cheers!

That's how i did it when replacing the screen, too bad the adhesive on the screen is thicker and makes the home button wobble and stuck

hello i dropped my phone and the screen is all black what would i get to replace it
7:20 my top isnt sticking well, is it because i had to fit the top first? when replacing mine i fit the bottom first and it's sticking well but the top doesn't. what could i do I already tried heating up the top and pressing it but lasts for less than a day

I'm fairly sure the 2016 model is bigger, so uses a different screen.

The glass and LCD are bonded together, so the likelihood of separating them without breaking the LCD with no specialist equipment is REALLY low. Then you have to clean every last bit of adhesive residue from the LCD and bond the new glass to it in EXACTLY the right place with no air bubbles, etc. It may be technically possible, but I'd just order them as a complete assembly.

New display wont adhere to frame, I cleaned away old glue. Does display backside suppose to have also adhesive because I received display that has adhesive only on sides?

From memory, the screen I purchased included an adhesive pre-applied.

Either you've not connected the cable properly, or the screen is faulty.
take off the battery and put it in again. If the screen is not faulty and its connected alright that should be the case. Had the same problem a couple days ago with a J3 16
