I have several guided journals with writing prompts but I don't know how to market them. Please note...free is my preferred way. But I don't see how I would be a guest on a podcast or blog or friends' newsletters talking about a journal. Libraries don't buy consumable books. How do you get sales for your low content books?
I completely understand where you're coming from! Depending on the topic of your journals, I'd suggest reaching out to local independent book stores and even 2nd hand stores. If they don't want to buy them outright, you can work on a consignment agreement, where they'll hold them in their store and if/when they sell, they'll pay you the agreed upon amount. If you're willing to spend a little, there are places like ebookfairs where you can have an online book fair with other authors around a certain topic and each author promotes the fair to their audience. It's currently $9.99/mo and, yes, you can do it for print books even though it's called ebookfairs. I have one or two videos covering ebook fairs if you'd like to get a better feel for them before you jump in. I hope this helps.
Hi, I saw your message and I'm in the same boat with you. Marketing is the hardest thing for me, especially since I can't afford much. I just purchased a tripod from Amazon and I'm hoping to do flip-throughs and Color Alongs on TikTok, Instagram and Pinterest. I've never done if before but I'm going to give it a try since it would be free for me to do. I thought you might be interested doing the same. I would do flip-throughs and Color Along vids here on YT, but every time I start a channel YT shuts it down sayin I'm scamming, which I wasn't. lol Good luck with your books. I have about 25 on Amazon and I'm the only customer buying them. lol
Hey keith , really nice video ! I was wondering if I could help you with more Quality Editing in your videos and also make a highly engaging Thumbnail and also help you with the overall youtube strategy and growth ! Pls let me know what do you think ?
It is a joke, right ? First book has over 2000 reviews... , positive ones. Also, published in 2019! In 2024 with all the a.i., it is a lot harder to earn 100$ from a book. So I take it as a joke... It is nothing helpful to new users what are you saying. If you will publish a new book, a low content and you will earn at least 500$ from it constantly now in 2024, I will donate you my kidney.
The point of the video was to show that even newly published books (published in the last 30 days) are still able to make money. Add to that , most low content publishers are not just creating/selling one book, it's very possible to make a significant amount of money self-publishing low content books in 2024. If one makes a generic notebook, it will definitely be more difficult to stand out amongst the crowd, but if you create content that is a bit niched down, you can still see quite a bit of success!
@@KeithWheelerBooks Prove it please. Launch a few low content books, and after ads payment, show us you`ve made some decent profit. You choose your nieche. Thanks.
It is not possible, at least right now. 10k? ... Click bait title, but this is not the reality these days. Not even for some big publishers, but for low content it is not possible. Ads are incredible high, profit margin really low to be competitive so the final result is probably not that great.
I'll be honest, it's very unlikely if you're only publishing one or two books in a broad niche. That said, it is still possible to make good money with low content books if you dial in the niche a bit. If you watch the video, you'll see I go into a couple different niches and show that even books released in the last 30 days (New Releases), are having quite a bit of success. And if you multiply that success by numerous books you may publish in a given niche, it is still possible to do well.
I'm new to all of this self-publishing and now have about 25 books on Amazon, but no sales. I watch all of these videos on YT that say how many 1,000's people are making publishing these low content books, but reading the comments there are 1,000's of people just like me. I think those making the big bucks either spend a lot on ads, have a following on social media or have enough books selling that they generate the same buyers. I may be wrong, we'll see.
I don’t have large followings for most of my low content book niches. (They’re under pen names) I also hardly ever run ads, except during Q3. The biggest key I’ve found is to NOT create a basic book. For example, I don’t just create a word search book. I ALWAYS create a book around a theme or niche. Then I make my keywords to reflect what my target audience is actually searching for.

That sounds like a great idea for a series!
