Finally back on the Sportster for a ride around the neighborhood! I miss this bike when I have to go days without riding it.

Another tip I'll give you, that'll help a TON, is to keep your head and eyes up. Look where you want to go and DON'T look down when turning/stopping/slow speed maneuvers.

I so agree, your journey is yours! You are doing great, learning to ride is not easy and just remember that everyone was a new rider once. You have a great attitude, keep it up!
As another old guy, I'm more into chrome and glossy paint, myself. My last bike was Sporster in black with some tasteful chrome additions. I love the contrast. I can no longer ride, unfortunately. I have to say that your Sporty is very good looking without the chrome. The color is a pretty close match with my gorgeous CTS, too. In other words, I want one. Darn!
My girlfriend had to change her mindset with things too and practice more positive self talk. She always did really well at stuff but would always downplay her accomplishments. It wasn’t healthy and I think that a lot of people do the same thing. I’m glad you’re recognizing your accomplishments too.
I'm glad that she made the change!! It really isn't a healthy thing and I am guilty of it for sure! I hope she continues to recognize her accomplishments!
Jackie, you can call me old, boring and whatnot but i entirely don´t see the point in doing wheelies - much less training ém. In my opinion there are much more important exercises waiting for you. Excercises that are important for your safety for example. To give more gas when starting off so you don´t stall or to turn tighter so you don´t get too close to the middle line (or over it) for example.
Yes, you´ve come a long way and you should be proud of your achiemvements at the same time there is still room for improvement :o) - no offence!
Agreed, but I would add that just a bit of body English would make those turns less wide. In other words, lean into your turn, but very little. It will become second nature quickly.
Dyna Diva take a beginner MSF class to help you learn some skills and help you get more sure of your self when rideing. Just saying.

Great video. I’m a new rider also I try to practice as much as I can but with family life it’s not easy. Patients is the key. I wish I had streets like yours with no traffic, not so here. Again great video.
I was laughing so hard when you did a little pull on that straightaway. I make noises like that when I ride too! It adds at least 8 horsepower! Lol.

Don't worry about what other people may be thinking when you ride. Enjoying what you are doing is the reason to ride. No matter what it is you are doing. Gathering thoughts at stop signs is great. My "church" is a ride on a nice mountain road near me. I gather my thoughts, and commune with the Lord, the bike, the road, the weather, but hopefully not the wildlife!
You are so right when you say "enjoying what you are doing is the reason to ride". I really do enjoy what I am doing and love to get out and ride!!

I don't care for that little CRF either. I like a full size bike (frame and wheels) The engine size is good for having fun. I sing and talk to myself all the time. I just edit it out of my vids. Ride safe, stay healthy.

Another super duper vid!
Taking off in the wrong gear is common. However to keep going is not good for the engine but it's a good way to get rear ended.. recognize the sound and feel quickly pull clutch down shift and give it some Throttle so you don't Stall. Doing good thx 4 sharing.

I finally got my lady to touch my handle bars since I got it . When we are together I show her your videos so she can see you riding. I'm hoping by end of summer she will sit on it . It's all about baby steps at first and take it from there. Lol

Yeah im tryna get mu girl to ride i went on a ride with maxy and she saw thr video and might be about ot now. I told her look i got this great hobby and i dont get to experience it with you im out doing cool stuff id like you to be a part of and she understood so i think shes getting on the back next day she has off

Great video! I am always forgetting I’m in a different gear at stop signs on my bike! And I have noticed on my sportster that it’s way easier to hit neutral going down from second gear not up from first gear
Just all part of learning how the bike works for me!! First time I did that and I'm glad I was able to quickly realize what I had done. I will try doing that to get into neutral. Thank you for the tip! It's crazy how difficult it is haha. Ride safe!

Ram mounts are the best they work great I love mine it's followed me from bike to bike and they hold your phone really tight
