The dowry thing is mostly, again I'm not saying people don't give, but mostly I have seen this in west , middle and south india which is so bad . I'm not saying East and North East there is no dowry system but it's not very frequently and not that much . The bride side ask the groom what he wants like or they gives what they feel like important to start a family.
Yes dowry is ugly but gold digging for a richer family to get your daughter married even though she has a master degree to earn her living isnt ugly? No body talks about the gold digging lol as if they couldnt just find well to do family as financially sound as them but want comparatively richer when both partners can earn! They are progressive only when it benefits them!
The weird thing is, taking dowry and demanding all sorts of sacrifice from the wife is so normalized in our culture, that even you guys dont see how aarti was being betrayed. The grooms family took 25 lakh dowry; thats a one bedroom flat. Even the wedding was being organised by aartis family im sure; because in here, weddings are the brides families' responsibility. And even after that, his mother wasnt going to let aarti work. Im pretty sure their behavior from the day of wedding wouldve just gotten progressively worse if she had got married. It was a bad situation for her on so many levels. I didnt expect this attitude from you guys. Would you have sacrificed this much to just get married?
1. LOL at your claim that you get a 1 BHK for 25 Lakh. In some village or small town maybe. 2. If they demanded dowry, the girls family AGREED to dowry too. They could have just flatly refused. Why did they not do that ? 3. When there is dowry, then its the grooms family who spends for their part of the function. 4. If her husband has already given his word that she could work, his mothers objections does not hold any significant value. 5. Situations gets progressively worse or better depending on how you handle it. Its not magic or set in stone. 6. It was not a bad situation, it was a good situation. She got the positive result on the day of her marriage was a sign from heaven. 7. There was no "sacrifice" here, just one side dishonoring their word and commitment.

My father didn't take a dowry he didn't even take gifts neither will I not will I give any dowry to in my sister's marriage. There are ppl like us too.
My father got my brother married without asking for dowry (should be a normal thing I know). But his thought process was that Bhabhi will never consider us as her own and respect us from her heart, if she comes to know that we asked her parents for money. I realised then how much depth this thought process had.
There are way more people who do not take dowries than there are made out to be. I got married without a single penny being given to my husband - this was 25 yrs ago BTW. My mom had bought some appliances to gift me at my wedding and my husband flatly refused to accept it. The only one he accepted was a food processor that mom said she bought with the cash received from guests at the wedding. Aside from that, our families EXCHANGED gifts - clothes mainly. Both sides also gifted me sarees, silverware, jewellery etc. and it all belongs to me. I can't imagine my mother in law asking for any of it to give it away to my sister in law. So even though the dowry system is not totally gone, things are getting better with each generation.
Dowry was never a mandatory tradition. In the old days, it was simply given as a gift between two families, but as time went by, people started changing it and viewing it as compulsory money. However, nowadays, people avoid taking dowries. In urban areas, you'll rarely see anyone taking a dowry, but in rural areas, there are still some places, not all, where dowries are still taken. Hopefully, this practice will end soon. If taking dowry is wrong, then it's also wrong for an independent, working feminist woman to take alimony
Starts with the girl's father digging for a comparatively richer family with a government job even when she has a master degree herself could earn! And that's why he agreed for dowry! 🎉

The comment section shows that how people, especially women are unaware about how alimony has destroyed millions of men when support of men against dowry and crime against women is at it's peak. Women married for less than a week takes 2 crores after divorce when the boy was very educated, open minded and didn't take any dowry. We never see any news about crimes against men by women.
My most awaited reaction 😍😍😍😍
"Dowry is illegal but alimony is not".... 👏 👏
There's a reason for that both men and women can have alimony and it is only provided from the spouse's wealth no family wealth is included. Alimony requires divorce and divorce rates are the lowest in India
@@SaurabhSingh-js2sb Please let me know the statistics for men getting alimony. Also, "no family wealth is included" is a joke since gold diggers never spare the family. Usually false cases are lodged against all immediate family members and out of court settlements are offered by the girl's lawyers with the boy's family having to pay almost their life savings or risk fighting the biased case for decades.
@@SaurabhSingh-js2sb Only lawyers defend the current 498A and other biased laws since they get the commission from the settlement proceeds. Woke feminism at its finest.
@@ultimatum97 now give me statistics for women receiving dowry! India has the lowest divorce rates therfore lowest alimony rates in the WORLD...but dowry? Every marriage...do u see the gap in the ratio?
Alimony maybe when both the parties are rich ...but see in each gali of India, majority of women are dying everyday just cause their family couldn't pay off dowry, most of the women don't know about divorce process.
I know about fake cases which is equally wrong. But who is not paying attention to problems of Men? Men themselves ! Who is not paying attention to the problems faced by women? Men themselves.
It's all patriarchy.
This movie changed my life. I always thought marrying into a rich family will be a good idea. But the way greedy relatives demand dowry, it's ruins the girl's lives. People blame aarti for running away but she was right. She chose to live for herself rather than for the society
While demanding DOWRY the mother was like nothing less than 2.5 millions😂😂 but look at her now. That's why you can't be inconsiderate to other's hard earned money. No Hypocrisy.
Villains of this movie :- Actor's mother, mother's brother, Actress herself, Her Sister.
The actress's sister's husband is the bigger villain. He escalated the things by physical threats.
Finally! Look at your comment section, recommended it 1000 times from several months, now did it
The dowry thing is mostly, again I'm not saying people don't give, but mostly I have seen this in west , middle and south india which is so bad . I'm not saying East and North East there is no dowry system but it's not very frequently and not that much . The bride side ask the groom what he wants like or they gives what they feel like important to start a family.
Whole China practices taking dowry from Men.
Let c, of this bloody hypocrites say something about that.
I love acharas reactions.
Wah bhai galat ko justify karna toh ladkio ki aadat he 😂
Tu bhi shadi mat kario khud ka toh dimag ghuma hua he bechare ladke ka bhi dimag ghuma degi 😂

Keep growing guys. May your videos hit million views.
Stree 2 ...... Now available on Amazon prime ❤
They better wait on that. Reacting to a movie on Amazon prime so soon would guarantee a copyright strike. If you regularly follow this channel and community posts, you would see many examples of Netflix or Amazon Prime movies outright being taken down, or heavily re-edited and re-posted repeatedly over and over again.

I realised then how much depth this thought process had.
but ur wife will have alimony how hypocrite is that both shud be illegal
So even though the dowry system is not totally gone, things are getting better with each generation.

now a days they are uploading reactions of the movies i recently watched and wanted them to react its kind of magical😂😂
Except the melodramatic ending trying to make everything perfect, this movie was really great.
First half of the movie-- AWWWWWWWWW😊
Second half of the movie--- WOAHHHHHHH😮
This is such a random pick for a reaction. Who even has seen this movie?? When was this released?? 😂
Best movie choice ❤❤
Dowry was never a mandatory tradition. In the old days, it was simply given as a gift between two families, but as time went by, people started changing it and viewing it as compulsory money. However, nowadays, people avoid taking dowries. In urban areas, you'll rarely see anyone taking a dowry, but in rural areas, there are still some places, not all, where dowries are still taken. Hopefully, this practice will end soon.
If taking dowry is wrong, then it's also wrong for an independent, working feminist woman to take alimony
Dowry culture is way more common than you think
@@Ss..348 Where do you live, brother?( kaha rehta h bhai tu)

To me it's totally illogical movie. Everybody knows the UPSC results specially in those areas, and if it's your ex you are very well aware. When you are under some kind of inspection, you prepare and are well aware of the officers in charge. That being the highlight scene of movie is so jarring. Offcourse I loved the sentiments involved.
