"Check your bones for breakage" is such an odd thing to comment to yourself. Would he not know that he has a broken bone? Or is that a person talking in the player character's ear?
I like to think of it as more like a survival mantra the character uses to stay mindful of injuries, since the harsh environment makes it easy to overlook smaller wounds until they get worse. It’s also a bit of a nod to how isolated the world is-you’re your own doctor out there! But I love your idea about someone speaking in the character’s ear; would love to be able to ask via radio for more in-depth bits of lore on the fly, about locations and bosses etc.
Being in Survival Mode as an average human inures you to pain, amongst other buffs. These scavengers have been in survival mode their entire lives. You have to estimate at some point that pain, the pointed denial of it in favor of moment to moment survival, and the near constant flow of adrenaline becomes their default, requiring the development of manual, near-constant habits of self-evaluation, due to their usual systems of damage notification being shut out
i love the games concept but the whole "industrial refrigerator sized pack on your back" is just goofy af to me and ruins the vibes, hell even putting Death Stranding to shame, shrink that shit down to something more realistic
And what you would prefer a magical RPG inventory that can hold 2 full plate armor and 10 Halberds, and at the same time the inventory itself is practically not displayed on the model.? I can assume that if in the future they make forays for loot, they will take exactly such large voluminous backpacks...
in medieval siege warfare they used dead animals as trebuchet ammo in a much more primitive way, but close enough.
Flinging dead animals back then was nasty, but effective-cool to see a modern twist on it in the game.

Nice video!
Thanks! Appreciate you watching.
Looking at those balloons door dash got crazy. Can you jump on a tank and see if you can stay as it moves?
I will investigate tank riding just for you

It's a good point, you don't want to be blinded by your backpack in a firefight. Hope they have some decent customisation on the way
Nah fr tho like you arent convincing me these skinny mf's are carrying that big ass backpack.
@@Glassesman-uy7jm it's why the character says "Check your bones for breakage" at the start of some raids. His backpack is killing him
