I’m from Laos and grew up there but I moved to the USA a couple years ago and I feel a kind of disconnection with my culture sometimes. Really it’s the food and music like this that makes me feel like I’m back at home. Thanks for this 🇱🇦❤️
I’m Lao American my family came to the USA about over 40 years ago after the war ! It’s still good to know Lao people are still freshly coming to the USA as well 🙏🏼
It’s called “Buddha park” in English. It’s located in Vientiane, Lao capital. It has a lot of beautiful sculptures related to Lao Buddhist beliefs. If you come here I recommend to go! It’s really beautiful I’m sure u will enjoy 😊
The Angkor Empire was originally almost completely Hindu due to its proximity to India, but gradually became more Buddhist due to the popularity of Buddhism amongst the commoners over centuries. Even the famous Angkor Wat of Cambodia, the epicenter of the Angkor Empire, was originally a Hindu temple complex. Laos was also in the Hindu Angkor Empire as it gradually became Buddhist. That is why a lot of holy architecture in Cambodia, Laos, and Thailand have distinctively Hindu aspects, despite each country now being almost completely Buddhist.

Majority in Laos Hindu or Buddha?
The majority f people follow Buddhism
