    The two first rings you removed were broken at my lens.
    I bought new ones but didn’t know how to apply them.
    I just glued them.
    After i d seen your video i finally remover them and replaced them by the new ones.
    Thank you.

    Great video. The gaps in the lens are there to let the air pressure inside the lens equalise with the atmosphere during zooming. That's why very expensive lenses don't incresae in length during zooming, they are far better sealed.

    Great video! I would love one for the 80-400 4.5-5.6 ED VR if you ever end up doing it! Mine is filthy.

    If anyone is having troubles removing the first rubber ring, it can be removed with a 105-112mm lens filter wrench quite easily.

    Thanks Kalim - an incredibly useful video! I recently dropped my 200-500mm. Fortunately the glass elements were fine but the plastic cylinder (second one you removed) that has the hood mount "track" was damaged as well as the hood itself being broken. With this video it seems like the part would be fairly easy to replace.... if only I could get one. Any ideas? (Nikon eat is $450!!)

    Thank you for showing me how the lens is made.
    I can't seem to remove the end by unscrewing it like you did. I'll try again. Any suggestions on how to loosen it without hurting it?
    I'm going to tape it where you showed me.

      Did you ever figure out how to unscrew yours? Mine won’t unscrew either.

    • @hotflashfoto
      @hotflashfoto 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@johnnyboi8541 No. I tried a number of different ways but never got it to even budge. I added a lens sleeve that came in half a dozen pieces. It should help with the dust infiltration a bit.

      I am having the same problem with my 200-500mm lens! There is no way to unscrew the front element the way he did it. Did you figure out how to unscrew it?

    Hi Kalim bhai, thanks for the video. I seem to have fungus sandwiched between the front element. Something inside glass.. have you seen such a thing ??

    • @kaleemahmed59
      @kaleemahmed59  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      we never open front two elements of nikon, but we open Tamron lens 150-600 front two elements, just cut the collar of plastics holding element inside then open the element and clean and fix with glue
