I AM A STRUCTURAL ENGINEER WITH MANY YEARS OF EXPERIENCE. SORRY FOR EXPRESSING A BITTER FACT. STRL ENGINEER JOB IS A LOW PAID UNDERDOG JOB WITH HIGH RESPONSIBILITY. THE SIMPLE REASON FOR THIS IS THAT WE ARE NOT THE CLIENT PULLER. NO PROSPECTIVE CLIENT IS INTERESTED IN SEARCHING FOR A GOOD STRL ENGINEER UNLIKE THE ARCHITECT. CLIENT LEAVES THAT MATTER TO THE ARCHITECT. ARCHITECT PAYS TO STRL ENGINEER BASED ON HOW HE OBEYS TO HIM WITH LOW PAYMENT. THIS IS THE GENERAL SITUATION, Dr SUBRAMANIYAM LIKE EXCEPTIONS MAY BE RARE.

200% possible. I have 12 years experience in structural industry. Experience is more important than having indepth knowledge or having higher qualification. However, a decent knowledge and B. tech is required. Higher education is advantageous but not compulsory
