It's cool Fluff tried something on the experimental side for mastering his album. Not a fan of the end result, but you have to break new ground to build something new. So I appreciate that. On cables, I personally like Livewire for XLR, Speaker, etc. Anything but Tapco and Hosa for guitar cables.
You are not lying about watching the low end. That shit and creeping faders levels used to drive me insane. Ultramax and Slate VTape are must have IMO in the digital relm. I can't speak highly enough about them. I'm an old analog geezer. The Slate Vtape is just ear candy to behold. Awesome vid as always Fluff. Yoo da man!
Theory about the JD cameo and change of coffee color: notice that the time of day is also different by the difference in sunlight. I'm thinking the Jared thing was a (cool) afterthought, and was filmed later in the day when Jared was available. Hence the different coffee color...
