I think the most important misunderstanding that Lisa has is not to recognize how DANGEROUS mentally and emotionally a narcissist is to the partner they’re victimizing. If she’d go on TikTok and listen to the creators who have been traumatized by someone with a narcissistic personality disorder, she’d see the disastrous result of being in a relationship with one. I think Ariana is likely to examine and see how much she was manipulated by Tom, and what made her vulnerable to this kind of person. The victim of a narcissist is never blameworthy for being screwed around by a narcissist.
I think you’re so right, I think we hear words like “narcissist” and don’t quite fully grasp how serious it is. There’s still a lot of work around educating people what disorders like narcissism mean, and how it can affect people and their relationships. For people like Lisa, I think they still see it as quite trivial and it’s unfortunate because she’s remaining pretty loyal to Tom because of it. I honestly think the intense connection was for danger, not each other. They both had a lot to lose if they were caught so the sneaking around in front of everyone, us included made them feel amazing, powerful, wild. Add partying, drink and drugs and the whole atmosphere was pretty high. Not real life, not daily struggles, not substantial. I think that’s why their scenes together are so awkward. They are now reality based situations and it isn’t working.
Hard to say when a 40 year old acts like a forever teenager and a 28 year old not growing up at all yet, her parents will pay for whatever as she goes full on trash. They both have to win whatever the game of the day is.
In the scene with the two Toms the day he went to the doctors. You can see how staged the conversation was between the two of them. You know Sandoval gave Schwartz the questions to ask so that he could blame it on Ariana. So phoney!

I think Schwartz is super lucky he’s flown under the radar so far for his participation in those conversations, and I hope we get to see that addressed in the final part of the reunion 😠😠
Raquel is going to have a very tough time finding friends. I believe that it was more hurtful that Ariana had such a close friend betray her this way. She said Men are trash, and basically you expect them to do this stuff, but not your very best friends

Can we talk about the comment about James assaulting a woman? While we definitely need to learn more about it in a responsible way & it's great to see others agree, what I feel is being glossed over is how the Toms brought it up. They didn't bring up what happened to help the victim, but instead to hurt James. Basically, these men were just fine being friends w/James & never called him out until it could be weaponized to serve themselves. So yes Lisa, these men are DANGEROUS.

I don't think Raquel slipped up in saying they were going to lie about their story or they coached or any of the other things. I think she's just an open book. Usually when she lies, it's a lie she's been told to tell. On her own, Raquel doesn't seem to even think to lie at least not as much as the average person. Other examples of this are when she stayed at Tom's and was late to work. She could've said anything and most people would've. Lisa didn't even really ask and she just opened with yeah I stayed at Tom's. She probably makes Tom a bit anxious because he knows she'll say anything if you just ask her the right question. It makes sense he would be so desperate to speak to her alone before she joins. Also when she told Katie she asked Schwartz if he wanted to make out, that was unprovoked. Raquel is processing information a little differently and I think people give her more grace because they can somewhat see that and also see that when something is thoroughly explained to her, Raquel seems inclined to change her path. I've just caught up on Season 9 and there's a moment in the reunion where Raquel apologises for making a comment about Katie wanting to be in Schwartz & Sandy's. She very earnestly explains I didn't understand and goes in depth with how her mom called her and explained how marriage works and she realises she was wrong. You can also see on everyone's face it's something they think obvious, but Raquel genuinely needed this explanation and had to have it broken down (which is fine). She just seems to need time and different approaches. Also facial expressions aren't necessarily indicative of emotions and internal feelings. From what we've seen even before this affair, I'm inclined to believe Raquel simply processes emotions differently which is okay. I'm more critical of her actions and betrayal.

Also the fight or flight thing, he was referring to the moment in the car when he put down his relationship with Scheena specifically. It's his way of a non-apology by saying I didn't really mean those things I said I was just in fight or flight and going off a bit.
Rachel would legally be unable to have the charge dismissed; the DA for this county doesn’t do that on TROs - a common practice by DAs everywhere. Also, I believe it would be irresponsible for Bravo to capitalize on someone as vulnerable as Rachel. She has many issues to be addressed before she can function in a responsible and self-aware manner. She was a perfect target for a narcissist like Tom. My concern about Ally and James is that he is an alcoholic, and she is enabling him to drink. Not a sweetness I would want for anyone with a drinking problem.

Definitely understand what you are saying, and this is probably the trickiest part of the reunion, because what James did was wrong, and him being drunk doesn’t excuse that. It is convenient that Sandoval only brings this up to try to deflect some of his bad behaviour and get James in trouble too, it kind of feels like Sandoval didn’t care that James harassed this woman until he needed to use it to shut James down at the reunion. It was unfortunate that this year everyone got an “get out of accountability” card because of what happened with Sandoval and Raquel, but hopefully that just means we’ll have that much more to unpack next season! 🤞🤞

But you are correct that the proceedings have to completely run it's course until the parties are seen in court..... Lala stepping in was strange. Schwartz, Sandy, and anyone else who drinks or doesn't does have a place to say something. The issue Sandy presented wasn't drinking it was sexual harrrasment. Unfortunately, it was overshadowed by everything else and the affair is a bit of a get out of jail free card for James. But it's a weird take for Lala to say Schwartz and Sandy don't get to call out sexual harrasment because they drink too. That was nonsensical to me. Anywyas, last comment. Thank for the recap !
Love all the thoughts & opinions! Definitely understand what you are saying, and this is probably the trickiest part of the reunion, because what James did was wrong, and him being drunk doesn’t excuse that. It is convenient that Sandoval only brings this up to try to deflect some of his bad behaviour and get James in trouble too, it kind of feels like Sandoval didn’t care that James harassed this woman until he needed to use it to shut James down at the reunion. It was unfortunate that this year everyone got an “get out of accountability” card because of what happened with Sandoval and Raquel, but hopefully that just means we’ll have that much more to unpack next season! 🤞🤞

The document that Rachel presented to Sheena by way of Andy was actually the wrong document and one for civil proceedings end not acceptable for temporary restraining orders which r Under the Umbrella of the criminal court jurisdiction..... But you are correct that the proceedings have to completely run it's course until the parties are seen in court..... Or in Rachel's just doesn't turn up where scheana's legal representatives can ask that the proceedings be set aside because they are not being prosecuted in a fair time / there is no intent to proceed given the absence of l Rachel and her lawyer

I think she said it but it was a hyperbolic statement and she never _actually_ punched Raquel.
