the stripes turned out so good! you asked about applying the top coat - i’ve had success using a water mister with water-based top coats just like you would with chalk paint. otherwise, I liked the finish best when I brushed on a healthy coat (doesn’t even have to be nicely done), and *gently* rolled over it with a dry, clean foam roller to knock down the brush marks. it leaves a sprayed-like finish. the bubbles could also be from too much pressure; if you continue to roll over it gently, they should dissipate. I personally don’t like how the foam roller lays down paints/top coats which is why i’ve liked the brush then roll method. black sheep house has showed it in her videos with paint and topcoat! good luck!
I’ll definitely look into her videos! Thanks so much for the tips! I usually like to use a sprayer but it’s been so cold that I’ve not been liking the finish I’ve been getting so that’s extremely helpful! 😊
When you first mentioned stripes I was like 😬. But, it looked amazing in the end. Beautiful work.
Thank you! 😊

Hey biggest fan here. Burning could be caused from a dull blade. Good brand I trust would be Diablo.
Thanks! I'll give that a try! 😊
Use a short nap brush for poly. Foam has air bubbles and will transfer to the poly.
Thanks for the tip! I’ll try a nap brush in the future! 😊
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Love the bag idea.
Beautiful!
Thank you!
