Big Bazar near the Ram Mandir square was the first of its kind in Bhubaneswar. It was like a tourist destination. It's closed now. Whenever I pass beside it ,it gives nostalgic feelings.
Mujhe ajj tak yaad he jab me bachpan me Bbsr aya or uske under ki oh lift lekr papa ke sath ghoom raha tha. Udar neeche softie bhi milti thi or mall ke bahar jo space thi usme log akr baita karte the.
Abhi jab me idar satyanagar me rehkar padh raha hu or jab gaya tha to uss jagah ko reliance ne kharid liye he or destruct kar diya he. Matlab oh log baas ak side use kar raha he baki sab band pada he (including the nostalgic lift and upper floor stores). And most of the log isko smart bazar bhi nahi bolte abhi forum Mart bolte he.
Whenever we use to go to big bazar we used to eat sweet corn that was sold on the ground floor. It was our first mall we ever visted lots of memories and the massage chair . But it is closed now

Big Baazar's clothes quality was much better than Smart Baazar's. I don't even feel like entering Smart Baazar. I wish they hadn't met such a fate. Unique business concept + quality products in one place.

We still get some clothing ranges from Big Bazaar brands in Smart Bazaar. Just look for the small orange bird in the tags (the future group bird)

@@kkkss157 I used to have the same philosophy. But the reality is, people who don't take risks never grow. Chavanniya batorte reh jate hai sari jindagi just to say debt free. I invested in a flat under construction for 40 lakhs 7 years ago on a loan, sold it for 67 lakhs recently and repaid the loan with interest and still made a lot of profit. If I didn't take a risk, I would still be in the same place I was 10 years ago.
When I was in my 10s I remember to visit Big Bazar due to Durga Puja shoppings ... And my most favourite section was the 3rd floor Grocery ... But now when I see Smart Bazar .. i gather so much memories with it ... ❤

I remember I purchased a lot of clothes during Dec 2018. There were discounts going on and a lot of money I got back in Future wallet which I reused to buy clothes. I still have those clothes and cherish those memories. I miss Big Bazaar

I used to go big bazaar when i was a kid..big bazaar created a mall ..which still no one can match..
Things which I’ve learned from such big company’s downfall is that Never take loans higher than that I can repay in any situation. Second is, never put your legs in too many boats before reaching one destination.. in simple terms, don’t try to be in every field. That’s my POV.
Whatever happened to bigbazaar, they must return membership money of customers. We paid 10K as grocery membership and we never got it back. This is daylight robbery. No one is talking about this.

Bro i am from tripura, agartala here back 2018 big bazar was very famous but suddenly it closed for 3 years then mota bhai (ambani) enters change the big bazar to reliance smart bazar. Its very sad but true

Waisa online best hai quality aur manufactured freshly milta hai
8-10% margin hai toh discount kahan se denge chhotey dukandar britania, parle, chocolate pepsi colgate Lux surf main sirf 8 %-10% margin hai kamai sirf aata dal chawal masala main kamai kar letey hain

Yes, now after Big bazaar, D mart and flipkart grocery are the best. They give good discounts. Don't know which local grocery shop gives 10% discount. I have seen many and all of them give products at mrp and don't even round off 10-20 rupees.
Pantaloon i remembered i purchased from thane 2001 at mimbai ...it was so softy and colourful always feel happy ...pantaloon was famous for dresses and bigbazar famous for kitchen and personal items .. and central mall was famous for kids...thats the variations...always attract customer...

Major Downfall started in Covid, where they didn't have any provision of home delivery where essential services were allowed. They couldn't take that opportunity to gain their consumer base.
Also, the Amazon vs Reliance case that caused a major set back for them

Big bazaar was really one of its kind it was a one stop solution for daily home needs. It was set up in many locations in bengaluru it had many things inside it for kids and adults. The experience of shopping was one of its kind, nowadays it is acquired by reliance smart which is the worst counterpart of big bazaar.
Big bazaar was our childhood emotion.. That entry from buying Strawberry icecream to roaming around each section of the whole building holding my mom's hand was really unforgettable ❤

One thing which is common here that Kishore Biyani opened a lot of his initial stores of Pantaloons or Big Bazar at Kolkata during 90s and early 2000's. This is unimaginable today, no one in 2024 will open their first store or start their business from Kolkata, sad but true.

Pantaloon was already established ready made clothing brand before kishor biyani purchased it. It has shop in colaba in mumbai.
This mall was very nice good. It was a mall for everything nd was very much nice for everything. We use to get everything under one roof. Y u have closed it. I wish pl open again This kind of mall. I bought many things from this shop and decorated my flat. It is still in my flat on good condition u can see now.
So basically he was an 11 out of 10 in business but he believed he was a 12 which led to his downfall 😅
